He's a class act. A huge talent that will hopefully fulfil his real potential. Having a tremendous year, and is playing with confidence and composure.

This quote worries me though....
I've put on 2kg and the club wants me to put on more, but I'm taking it easy. I don't want to put too much on otherwise it might slow me down and stop me jumping
Let's hope the club don't stuff him up and make him too heavy. He's got to be able to perform his natural abilities without being restricted. Sounds like he has a very good head on his shoulders. Gotta look after this kid.

Seems like he's got a very good head on his shoulders. Wouldn't be too concerned just yet about the club wanting him to put on more.

Let's see how he goes for the rest of this season first.

So far so good.

Same here. We did it with Bradley and Solomon and they f***** up. Lets not f*** up another kid, please.

Solomon going downhill since the start of '05 had nothing to do with us.

I'm afraid the game has simply passed him by. I've watched him a number of times this year for Freo and he just doesn't cut it anymore, and they've apparently stripped quite a bit of weight off him.

Since 2000, the game has changed markedly and Solly hasn't. At the risk of repeating myself, he just doesn't have 'it' anymore.

Sheedy finally got a prediction right about a player as soon as he has picked him up in the draft.

Paddy is an absolute asset to the team and has made a massive step from the soft player he was last year. He was soft last year, it looked as though he didnt think that he belonged.

But this year, he is crashing into people, running hard and the skills are sen-*******-sational. Floating across packs taking marks, this kid could be a real champion, provided we nurture him properly.

Seems like Paddy paid attention to how the club has f***** Bradley up by making him put on too much weight too soon. Hopes he continues to tell them to get stuffed if they want him to bulk up too much!!!

I love Paddy but I am going to have to disagree with the part where you said "running hard". Too often I feel he is just cruising when he could put in a better effort to chase.

Other than that he is awesoem.

Big fellas often look slow when they're giving it everything. He also covers quite a bit of ground across half back...watch his running next game you get to.

On a totally different note here, does anyone think we may have a battle on our hands to keep him...

Young WA country boy may = home sick at some stage.

Not when his parents have just moved over to Victoria. I think I heard that. If I'm wrong please correct me.

I am sure he said that too Bert maybe on the footy show last week. He also sounded like he is really happy with the move to Melbourne...

The next few years at the club will see the retirement of some all time greats, guys like Paddy, Davey, Jetta, Monfries really give hope that there is a very bright future for this club.

Almost makes you forget the fact we have a man mountain quietly going about his business in the backgound. The (hopefully a misnomer) GUMBY.
