Is on tomorrow night. Is anyone here going?

It is a great night. I went last year and had a ball. Would have gone again but they moved the dates on me.

We're a rich club, yet can't book the Paladium on a decent night of the week.

Wednesday night? Stuff that!

Costs too much apparently. Tickets would probably cost twice as much on a friday and satuday. Plus finals footeh is on.

Yep, costs a lot more for a Friday or Saturday night. The cost would probably be too much for many if you are paying 2 or 3 times more. Would be nice to have it on a Friday or Saturday night. Maybe they should look into other venues?

Wouldn't surprise me if
a) Collingwood has a 'cast of thousands' type night, and so can charge less per head, or
b) PBL owns Crown, PBL owns Channel 9, Eddie = Channel 9 and Collingwood, ergo they get 'mates rates' for the hire of the Palladium Room.

Hawthorns is $145 for members and $170 for non members.

The palladium can ONLY hold 1000 or so......

Maybe the Filth DO get "mates rates" but there ARE plenty of other Venues around town....It doesn't HAVE to be Crown every year on a f****** Wednesday night.

I agree. It just reflects the fact that, as other people who have followed Essendon for longer than i have know, Essendon are as tight with money as a Scottish fish's arse. Always have been, according to the older guys, and probably always will be.

I think the Palladium holds more than that - 1400 turned up for the James Hird night

Wish I could get there. Last event I managed to get my sorry behind to was the Champions of Essendon function. Damn was I glad I got to that one with King Richard passing away days later.

Who's the hot tip? Watson? Lucas? Stanton?

Is the BT B&F a guide we can go on?
