Lloyd has to be within range to kick goals... he doesn't seem to know how to stay inside 50 these days.

I'll be borderline suicidal if I have to watch that again.robbie67 wrote:I hope Fletch is back for next week, because watching you know who run around another week will make me vomit.

Bradley has been playing the entire year in the 2's in the forward line. Why was he brought in to play defence? f****** stupid selection committee. Why not bring in Johns? At least he has been playing defence in the 2's.robbie67 wrote:I hope Fletch is back for next week, because watching you know who run around another week will make me vomit.

They gave him a stint in the forward line. Equally as useless. He was a liability on the field. Every time he got it you knew it would end up in an Adelaide player's hands... and inevitably a goal.Rossoneri wrote:Bradley has been playing the entire year in the 2's in the forward line. I'll admit that he did kick one in the first quarter (I think) from half back out to McPhee (again.. i think) about 25m away where the ball stayed fairly flat and looked like a nice kick off the boot. I even made comment about it in the game thread. Everything else he did was just incredibly pathetic. His "no look handball" to Ryder that missed him by about 5m and allowed Goodwin (I think...) to stroll in and kick an easy goal... Man I nearly lost the plot.Essendon4eva wrote:Its not just that Bardley misses targets. The way he kicks and hanballs is all wrong.

It was so f****** stupid that Bradley played.
1. He has been playing forward for the past few months.
2. He has proven that he is not a defender. Full stop. Barely even good enough for AFL at all, but definitely not in the backline.
Johns should have played. He has been playing in defence AND isn;t as slow AND isn't unco AND can kick alright.

Aaron Francis is the Messiah.
The knee bone's attached to the groin bone, the groin bone's attached to the....etc, etc...Staggy wrote:Where did you hear that he had a groin strain?
MMM at the game yesterday (and papers this morning) report that there's something wrong with his knee - the patella tendon specifically.
It was knee soreness apparently...http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/news.asp?nid=5273
Due to return this week.

Agree with all the comments about Bradley. he just looked totally lost.
On the positive side, I thought Mal Michael really lifted in Fletcher's absence - took on the responsibility of running the backline. Didn't get a lot of possies, but every time he went near the ball, you felt confident it would be held in. Always looked cool calm and collected. Perhaps his best game yet for us.
