What a teeze this year has been. Round 19 in with a huge chance to play in finals, and by the end of the match, pretty well securing bottom four. I don't konw why but the worse we go the more I'm in favour of going for an untried coach, rather than ND, why is that ??.Jazz_84 wrote:im beyond caring anymore, for once im looking forward to the off-season and some BIG changes at Essendon
bye bye sheedy,
bye bye Quinny, let's get a boss of the fitness department who actually has an understanding of how to build the fitness of AFL footballers not athletes.
bye, bye Dodoro- not sure you're completely to blame for our shithosue recruiting as I'm pretty sure Sheeds would have had final say over who we got...but that is unfortunately the way the system works.
Let's get some decent assistant coaches into the club too, instead of just stacking the coaches box with former Essendon players and a hack of a coach who has failed at two previous clubs.

i dont care who the coach is anymore, all i want of for them to do these things:
- get a specialist ruck man
- play everyone in position, mainly Lloyd in the square
- no bullshit tactics that defer focus from the game
- get players to put in 100% week in week out

Just for the sake of a bit of light humour...
The title of this thread reminds me of going to see Mrs Doubtfire dubbed in German for our German class in year 7. When Robin Williams' facemask falls off onto the road and a truck runs over it, he yells out "Scheisse!". I think that was the one word everybody understood.

These last two weeks have made me wish the season was over now so the humiliation will stop. I can't believe that mid season we were 4th on the ladder, yes thats right 4th and firmly entrenched in the top 8. I am shattered with how the boys have lacked the passion and drive over the last month and a bit (except for the Adel game)Jazz_84 wrote:i dont care who the coach is anymore, all i want of for them to do these things:

Hille and Laycock got smashed today by a first year ruckman and a part timer in Gilmore. A better ruckman is def something we should look at (would Brissy ruckman Beau McDonald or Carl's McLaren be of any use?)
Im disappointed with how Lucas has been used. He has been our leading forward all year yet he is getting possies on the wing and half back line, thats not going to win us the game. You would have thought that the boys would be pumped to try and get to finals for Sheeds and Hirdy but obviously that doesn't seem to be good enough motivation for them.

SCHEIZENHAUSEN pretty much sums it up. Season 2007 cannot be over soon enough.
Any chance of some optimism? Just a tiny bit?
If we don't make the finals next year, after throwing it away so easily this year, I think I'll lose it.

Yes it does. Most reasonbly objective observers would say that 13th is our level. We are better than Melbourne, Carlton and Richmond, and that's it.Mrs Mercuri wrote:...this season is so close that 13th doesn't really reflect where we are as a team.
To phrase it another way - which of the 12 sides above us do you genuinely think we're better than?

I wouldn't go that far. I think we will finish a bit higher than 12th mate.uptick wrote:What a teeze this year has been. None - except MAYBE...just MAYBE Adelaide.
And I'm seriously doubting at this point in time that we're even as good as Richmond!!
Sad but true...
Better than those WEAK Adelaide PRICKS.Never beaten us in Melbourne and NEVER WILL!
But yep,it was CRAP!We might have set things up for a battle in the 1st quarter, but we didn't.
Didn't see the end Tony.Busy having a SHIT FIGHT with a Bloody Parking Inspector, over a sudden clampdown on Subiaco Rd Parking/loading.Unbelievable.Give someone a Uniform and they think they're HITLER!
Cheers to Freo's fans on what you saw.If our mob(players) can't show KEVIN respect, then I'm glad someone had the courtesy.

Definitely scheizenhausen.
Only two positives:
(1) Gumby & Reimers - both showed something. Hope for the future.
(2) Lloyd & Monfries - both answered their critics with much better games.
Lots of negatives. I will control myself and just list two:
(1) smashed in centre clearances - don't know if this is the fault of ruck or midfielders or both but the new coach will certainly need to address this next year
(2)can't run out four quarters - Peter Power was right - wonder if we can get him back!?
