5. Michael (best game for Essendon)
4. Campo (see above)
3. Monfries
2. McPhee (much better)
1. Lovett (see above)

I would have given Lloyd 2 or 3 if he hadnt missed the sitter. Captains kick em.

Lovett getting votes suggests psychologists aren't pulling our legs about the information recency effect.

He may not have been the best out there, but when we needed the spark he was there. Great defensive pressure, and also ran well, setting up several attacks. Let's just hope he is building the 'platform' for the rest of the year, and beyond.

Was wondering when he'd make the list. Haven't seen the game yet but listened to most of the 3AW call and heard the stats... sounds like he was sensational. Leading clearances, contested possessions, hitouts... took some important marks etc...

I'll stop ranting (this is the votes thread) but am surprised he hasn't been named other than by BD.

Hird, Nash, McPhee and Monfries were also excellent. Good work at the selection table this week. Picked a team that could win the game.

Very good in the air today. Competed very well in the ruck and actually placed some excellent palm outs to our guys. When he was beaten for the tap, he actually roved it and cleared it. His work at ground level was fantastic. I gave him a big rocket a few weeks ago, only because I know what he is capable of. He can be anything this boy.

Campo can f off back to Carlton. 35 nothing stats, plenty of lateral movement and turnovers and zero running the other way as usual.

I agree to an extent, but he had ten inside 50s and most were straight to our boys. Lovely skills, knows where to get it, and makes far far far far far far far far less errors than most of our midfielders. WOuld love to see him back next year.

He doesn't run the other way, but no one seems to in our team.

If you were at the ground and can honestly say you saw him ever run the other way I would be very surprised . . .
