Just reported as breaking news on Ten News...
A "number" of Hawthorn players have failed drug tests. I've just been searching for articles online but haven't found any yet.
Will make for an interesting lead up to the finals.

WOW!!!!!!!! I missed the start of it.
I thought someone just named them similar to Aker/Channel 7 and Braun.
Perhaps someone has spread the rumour that they have failed when they actually havent? Hawthorn were saying that they are considering legal action.

Just saw it on Seven news.
Apparently a bird found a medical file out front of an Ivanhoe rehab centre, two players, "Mr X and Mr Y" have been refered to the rehab centre, and apparently failed drug tests twice.
It's legit.

I hope they find the slurry who sold clearly confidential medical files and make her life hell. What a piece of shit - selling someone's medical history, none of which is the business of the public or the media's, for a few thousand dollars.

Yeah. Wonder how much she has been paid to tell channel 7 about the files?
I cant believe the clubs are not aware (by league rules) that a player has tested positive to illicit drugs until the 3rd strike?
I agree with the 3 strike policy, but surely the club needs to know earlier to help the plaers involved.

Well I was a bit slow to reply, so my last reply was irrelevant. Though will be interesting to see what becomes of this over the coming days.

f***, how stupid would you have to be to take drugs in today's AFL climate, especially when you see the goings on over west this year.

Well, the bird who found these papers instantly recognised that "Mr X and Mr Y" were Hawthorn footballers. So unless she was a Hawthorn supporter (one could assume she wasn't, due to the fact that she sold her story to Channel 7) they would have to be pretty well known.
Of course, this is all assumption.

Absolutely no mention of this on either channel 10 or 7 news here in Perth tonight. Hawthorn must have got some sort of injunction on the story.
