Ricky Dyson has signed a 1 year contract to stay at Essendon for another year.

Still to sign or be offered a new contract;
Bradley, Kepler
Cole, Richard
Johnson, Mark
Peverill, Damien
I'm happy, i can keep my username for another 12 months

Yep I am happy with that too hopefully Knights can bring out the talent that we know he has...

Having your name bandied around at trades and being signed so late might be the kick in the arse Ricky needed to remind him he has to work for his position.

Well, the writing's on the wall. No other club is interested in him, and he's now been given a 12 month reprieve. Either work your butt off, or buzz off.

You gotta say that of the remaining 4 - Cole is definitely delist material. Trying to flog Kepler and MJ. Haven't heard much about Pev, but considering his last season, he should get another year. It looks like MJ is the likely one to get the ass, as at least Bradley is only 21.

On the topic, I am not sure whether I like the idea of Dyson getting another go. He's lazy and goes missing for long periods of time. Myabe Knights sees something that we dont. Then again, it could be because we wont get stuff all for him and its better to try again then go for an unknown in the draft?

I'm surprised. Surely this would be his last chance.

Congrats Ricky!

Would suggest though that Cole is a definate meeting with the grim reaper.

Bradley and MJ, I feel will be traded tomorrow.

Hopefully we welcome Brennan from Brisbane.

Pev deserves another year, he really does, my fear is that JJ is still contracted for one more year and on pretty good $ and with the youngsters being pushed as promisied I wonder if there is room on the list for both Pev and JJ, considering we will probably want to have one shot at the PSD.

Out of the 4 guys left (Keps, Cole, MJ, Pev), I'd say that Pev is the only one certain to stay. MJ and Keps will be shopped around today you would think, and Cole will most likely be delisted.

Not confirmed... Nothing on the website and Freo have offered a three year deal to Ricky according to The Age.

I really hope we don't sign him... he's an vastly inferior version of mark mcveigh without any of the aggro. Knights would be a fool to keep him on after his performance kicking-out in the Bendigo final - it was a disgrace to see an AFL listed player stuff up that badly in the twos.

Send him to Freo where he might look good as a receiver in a good team. He's never going to make it here.

If we can't get anything decent for him, and he's willing to pick his socks up and bleed for a spot, then give him a year. If he does nothing, there's the door.

But if we can get anything for him, that's best case scenario in my opinion

Freo are/were interested in him, but only wanted to give up a 4th rounder for him.

This draft doesn't have great depth...so might as well stick with Ricky for another year and see if Knighter can get anything out of him.

Never know, Winderlich was in a pretty similar situation a few years back as well.

Fourth rounder? Not worth it. See what he can do this year if there's no decent currency out there for him.

I like that it is a one year deal. It basically tells Dyson this is his last chance.

It is said in today's Age that its believed that Fremantle want Dyson on a three year contract and we want their 2nd round pick no.24. Would people be happy with that. They have also shown interest in Bradley.

Two years?

Please tell me that's a joke.

Who's his manager? I'll hire the bastard.

Knights just said that Freo offered him a 3 year deal and he chose to stay with us. Knights said he has a fantastic relationship with Ricky...
