Had his car searched by the coppers, then had his car seized.

Apperently right in the middle of the city.

Has been taken into custody, along with another Eagles player

omg are you being serious?? This is the last thing West Australian footy needs right now, you would have to think that Cousins' career would be very shaky after this latest fiasco.

Geez I feel for the West Coast Footy club. They trusted him to rehabilitate himself and to improve his behaviour.

And now this happens. What a pathetic f*** up Cousins is. And for a Brownlow medallist.

Sure we don't know if he's even been charged with anything yet, but if the major crimes squad is questioning him I think you can safely say he's in deep shitskee.

"WA Police have arrested and handcuffed Ben Cousins after pulling him over in his car and searching it for 45 minutes in the Perth inner city suburb of Northbridge .

Cousins' car, a blue Mercedes four wheel drive, has been impounded. It's believed a second West Coast Eagles player, as yet unnamed, has also been taken into custody from a separate location.

Cousins was shirtless when arrested.

The arrest was witnessed and filmed by National Nine News in Perth. Detectives from the Gang Crime Squad targetted Cousins and searched his car in front of office workers. National Nine News reporter, Grant Taylor, was on the scene and says Cousins was made to sit in the back of the police car handcuffed the entire time. "He's been taken by detectives to the traffic department where I can only assume he is being tested for blood alcohol limit and drugs."

Cousins is still being questioned by Police. He is expected to be charged tonight but at this stage, the nature of those charges, is unclear."

So we basically know sweet FA at this stage.

Arrest is just the process of detaining someone. Police can arrest whomever they want if they reasonably believe that someone has broken the law. I think after searching Ben's car for 2 hours they must have found something they thought related to an arrestable offence.

Will that is extremely naive of them and anyone else who believed that to be possible.

It is simply not the way drug addiction works. Relapse is the norm, not the exception with drug addiction.

Not at all surprised myself.
