Have to ask.

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Have to ask.

Post by Scott »

Ok, Ben Cousins gets delisted by the Eagles. Would we be interested in getting him at Bomberland?

Lets not forget he's a gun Footballer, slight drug problem, but still a champion footballer. Could we help him?

What do you think??

Doesn't really fit in with the idea of a youth policy to pick up a good as 30 year old, even if you don't consider the fact he obviously has a serious drug policy.

Do not particularly want him at our club, for 2-3 years corrupted our youth and causing us the same problems he's been causing the Eagles.

May provide some small short term gain, but he is just as likely to cause major short and long-term damage to the club.

So thanks but no thanks.

I can't believe this question even exists.
The guy traffics drugs. Who cares if he can play football well?

He should be deported to Antarctica.
There's hopefully enough ice for him there.

I don't know about trafficking. Haven't heard anything concrete on that.

But I just don't think it's responsible to the other players in the team to take on a player with these kind of off-field problems. It just doesn't send the right message to them.

What sort of message would that send? Cutting a 29 yr old cos he's deemed to old to retain, while picking up another 29 year old with major off-field issues. Won't happen.

He shouldn't be allowed to play again. He had his chance and threw it away.

Knight's has enough to deal with now in his first Senior Coaching year, the last thing he would need is to be explaing to the media every Monday morning what shit Cousin's had got himself into over the weekend...

I cant just cant understand what he was thinking, this is now a man in debt to his club for the way they helped & stood by him over not just one but many issues. How or why could he be so stupid & ignorant. An absoloute kick to the nuts for the club and Woosha (who has well and truly had his back).

Retire Benny. You are running out of people to shit on.

No way in hell. He would be toxic to any clubs kids. And frankly, probably some of the older ones. And who wants the rep that comes with?

No thanks.

Richmond will take him...Jay Schulz who they claim is a required player a couple of years ago cost them their "Drink Driving bloody idiot (TAC)" sponsor from drink driving and he's still there.

They'd be the perfect couple.

He is likely to be deregistered by the AFL, so no-one will take him. The WCE have followed through with their obligations, now it's time for the AFL to get F****** fairdinkum and impose their muscle on the issue. FFS, the league deregistered Leigh Matthews over the Neville Bruns incident, yet this bloke has tarnished the AFL brand about half a dozen times in the last 12 months.
