On the old site, I tipped Stants to be our highest poller in the Chas and he was but I thought he was worth more than 7 lousy votes.

Clement got 4. The Great Clement according to Lyon and his 9 sycophants. Against us R19 the votes were 3 Fletch corrrectly, 2 Peverill, 1 Swan (DUH!!)....where was Clement Lyon....you know the guy you had same as Fletch???

So glad to see the back of 9.

the brownlow voting system is rubbish. How could Lucas not poll a vote in last 4 rounds?

Has always been the argument that an independant panel should give votes and not the unpires.

The independant panel should be made up of people who are locked in a room and not given access to any media reports.

As soon as someone starts getting hyped by the media, they start getting votes from the umpire.

Shaun Burgoyne is a good example of it this year as was Goodes.

Lucas was sensational in the latter part of the year. Got himself 7 votes for the year. Pfft. Kicks bag after bag in the latter stages... no votes.

The Brownlow Votes mean nothing anymore. The simple fact that Goodes won is a testament to that. The fact he now has 2 of them... that's a bloody disgrace.

Why complain about not getting votes? It's very hard to get even one when you lose and Essendon did that a lot this year.

Yet interesingly, we lost against St Kilda and picked up all the votes.

We outplayed St.Kilda for 'most' of the day. They pinched it.

There is usually a pretty close correlation between the number of games won and the number of votes a team gets, so how come Carlton got 10 more votes than we did when they won the same number of games?

Just another reason to hate the scum.
