I'll be going to the game today for the first time with my 6 year old daughter. She's excited. She's already met Matthew Lloyd and has his autograph on her cap. Her favourite player is Jobe Watson and is looking forward to seeing the Bombers win as she knows we haven't beaten them since she was born. I myself will be hoping we KICK THEIR ASS!

I was 6 when I went to my first game, we won by 142 points. Hope the same happens today.

I am going today but by myself. I plan to take my daughters along to a game some time this year (have been threatening to do this for a few years), so I will be interested to hear how it goes, Ben. Do they get bored?

I'll be sitting very deep amongst enemy territory today - i'm going with a mate who supports the Kangaroos as a guest and i'll be wining and dining in the Northerners coterie group. Don't worry BTers, i know the drill - get awkwardly drunk, cause a scene, ruffle a few feathers and make sure i'm not welcome back.

She's self motivatedly keen. She's always asking questions about Essendon, its history, its players etc. It must be the competitive issue in Prep and now Grade 1. But luckily, I've got 2 decades of video tapes of Essendon games. I've shown her all the glory, the close finishes, the champions etc. She LOVES Tim Watson from watching old tapes. That's why Jobe is her favourite.

It's an exciting day for me as well. I'm gonna love it!
