Was at the game last week against the dogs & tonight against the áints & could'nt help but notice the lack of spark tonight compared to last week. Macca had the players in those group huddles all keen to play with passion, the differance tonight seemed to be the exact opposite. I wonder if Lloydy has the confidence & respect of the group. Maybe they relate to Macca better. But I think even if Hirdy was captain he would'nt be able to inspire Lazycock & Monfries. The cock must not be a "gentle giant" he must charge to a contest,take marks & hurt a few bodies. He must have PRESENCE. What hope did we have with both Lazycock & Lloyd in the forward line, plus Monfries & Natrat not hardly getting a touch. Plus the usual poor umpiring (can't we get some decent maggots they are worse than ever) the turnovers & piss poor disposal hurt us badly, back to last years standard.
