Been rough in front of goals thus far, should have three straight instead one 1.1

Got a good feeling... hopefully we can pull one out for tonight - would love to beat these bastards, know too many Hawks supporters :P

10 min in and the two Mc's have had a bit of the ball, McVeigh has done a bit with it, McPhee not so much.

Spraying them everywhere in front of goal... wish we'd straighten up. Can't wait for Bellchambers to come on :D

I am just stoked we are starting games well.

your right the missed chances are going to hurt, but still. this is much better than being smashed early on.

WHOO!

My boy got a touch.

Monfries has hands like the anti magnet ATM... everytime he tries to grab it, it repels from his hands. Driving me crazy.

Inaccuracy is murdering us... and MONFRIES is a complete clutz tonight. Butterfingers! Costs us 3 goals and almost the one that Lloyd ended up kicking.

2 weeks in a row legends of the club have run through the mark and given away 50m penalties to give certain goals.

Lloyd takes a ripper in the goal square and kicks his 2nd!

Franklin is being well held by Ryder but he's killing him at ground level after the intial contest. He has a good radar that boy (Franklin).

Give a guy a rap and he lets you down. Franklin waltzes away from Ryder and takes an easy uncontested mark and goals. Hawks up by a goal.

Geez bottling it up with 90 seconds to run... Essendon Essendon Essendon... boring!

Pleased with the first term, in spite of holding up the ball for the last 90 seconds.

That last 2 minutes was disgraceful. What we needed was a link up player to get open and just run through so we could kick over that flood in the middle of the ground. Easy to disarm. Just noone switched on enough to actually do it.

Hawks up by a goal at quarter time.

27 - 21

Lloyd with 2, Franklin with 2

Gees it was great seeing Lloydy fly for that mark but sad also. I can't remember the last time I got excited seeing him do something like that. I think we've done ok so far. Just a shame we didn't convert those early chances.

Wow. Did anyone else see that laptop on the ground that was replaying Campbell's ruck contests to him at QTR time? What a learning tool! Is it legal? I don't see why it wouldn't be. Why aren't we doing it?

Youn all along forward of the left wing, runs into an open 50 and kicks to the GS where Hodge takes a very good mark and kicks the goal. Hawks up by 2 goals.

Franklin kicks his 3rd. Up by 3 goals.

Ryder did a great job in the contest on Franklin just then but did you see Franklin bounce up off the ground and go for the second effort on Lovett as he ran past? Lovett hits McPhee who finds Lucas and GOAL! Nice to see.

Well done presenting to the contest Lloyd! Longergan got the hands off and then found Winderlich in the goalsquare who kicks the goal! Lovely! Only a goal in it now!
