Essendon has to come bottom this year to maximize their draft selections. The side plays very well for a couple of quarters more than holding their own. Inexplicably our coach does not change tactics .Result we get f..d over again
Although everybody thinks Kmights is a dickhead for not changing tactics, the people that matter, PJ etc, know -what he is doing and go along with it. Didn't Carlton do things similarly- last year last quarter fade outs.

Knights etc know that the bad drafting in previous years can't be undone. They know we have a crap list at the moment.They also know that we supporters live on hope.That's why they were bullish about are chances this year .

I wonder though whether this theory will hold up against the sides that need to lose against us.

Knights always tries to change things, sometimes they work, sometimes they dont (more often they dont).

You are basically saying that we are tanking, im saying that we aren't good enough to tank games, we are just crap at the moment.

So it's Knights' fault when Monfries drops 3 sitters inside 50? It's his fault when McPhee completely farks up another sitter? It's his fault McPhee misses a simple shot at goal? It's his fault when Nash pinpoints a perfect pass to Roughead? It's his fault when Lloyd can't get a touch for 78 minutes?

Yep players have to take responsibility for their skill errors - not much Knights can do about this. As for the Nash incident - sure he miskicked it but I think at least he was taking the responsiblity of trying to create a play. There are a lot of players in our team ie STANTON is the main culprit (I think all Stanton bashers have finally got to me), where they just try to hit the simple pass and where we get no advantage. In fact, we hand the advantage to the other side because it allows them to go back in numbers.
