Flooding by opposition sides

We're one of the bottom sides, yet teams continue to flood against us. Franklin was the only one in their forward 50 so many times - I don't remember Lloyd having this luxury EVER in his career. I'm interested to hear from people here, how we can counter this. I don't want to hear about putting pressure in the midfield because I don't think this is the answer - all the Hawthorn players have to do is kick it in front of Franklin without looking and he will take the mark. At least I don't think this is a simplistic view of last night. Let me know what everybody else thinks.
