Slattery Fletcher Lovett-Murray
Stanton Ryder McVeigh
Reimers Myers Nash
Monfries McPhee Welsh
Lucas Lloyd Neagle

Ramanauskas Lonergan Jetta Laycock Atkinson Pears Dyson
In: Lovett Pears Dyson

Would expect Atkinson out for Lovett to be the only change, (although Pears for Jetta may also be a chance)

Re: Team v Scum
any reason we shouldn't smash Carlton this week?
Re: Team v Scum
It's Carlton. I don't think I've seen us thrash them in ages. Hoping for one this weekend but they are in good form so you wouldn't think so.
Re: Team v Scum
Wasn't too many seasons ago where we smashed them by 100 odd points with MJ's move up forward working a treat and kicking 6 or so goals. It was the second game between the two clubs for the season, I think it may have been 05 or 06, I think it was the year when Whitnall pulled a blinder of a 4th quarter in the first game between the two clubs for the season and won them a game that looked all over from their perspective.

Re: Team v Scum
Comparing this game with 2-3 years ago is ridiculous. MJ kicking six. Back then Carlton didn't have the midfield and they do now, they have young desperate kids looking to make a name and they have few 2nd or 3rd club hacks like they had then (eg. McGrath). Not to mention Lance Fitnall, Prendergast and the rest who weren't worth a crumpet.
I'd love to see us win by a point after the siren - a flogging wouldn't hurt Carlton as much as a 1 point loss. Saying we owe them is an understatement.
At the end of the day - they have a far superior midfield (one of the better ones in the comp) but we need to hold them back, break-even and exploit their back half. The problem I see is that we got flat out one way and get caught on the rebound. Unless we improve on that I'd say we're in for a long night, especially if the Fev gets too much of it.
But, we can win - no doubt.

the edge has gone off our team in terms of speed.

Re: Team v Scum
Lovett for atkinson and pears for rama. One of either Pears or Daniher need to be in the team at all times.
Re: Team v Scum
That team will be competitive even though not many "experts" give us a chance. Hopefully we can turn the tables on Carlton and beat them while they are the favourites.
Re: Team v Scum
Bendigo have named only Atkinson, Pears and Dyson from the seven interchange players named.
Hence I would expect they are the three to miss
