All australian side

Post by Sirvass36 »

If I had to pick 1 now it would look something like this

B: Harley, Scarlett, Lake
HB: Milburn, Ryder, Hodge
C: Richo, Ablett, Black
HF: O'Keefe, Pavlich, B. Harvey
F: J. Brown, Franklin, Medhurst
R: Hille, Bartel, Cooney
Int: Corey, Judd, Fevola, Cox

Apoligies: Murphy, Foley, Petrie, Kirk, J McVeigh

Captain: Pavlich

Coach: M Knights

No Sam Mitchell?
I don't think Paddy will be in there - but hard to think of anyone who dominates at CHB - perhaps Croad would be closest?
I don't think O'Keefe deserves a spot either.

Pav is the worst skipper in the league. I'd go with J Brown.

Freo's mountain will be no 1 ruck, with ille and Cox fighting it out for second place.

Medhurst's form has fallen well away hasn't it? He would've been a shoe in if his early form continued.

Croad will get chb. The dawks are popular atm. Paddy, whilst he's been very good will be discussed, but won't get the chocolate.

No it will be between Hille and Cox only

One will be the starting ruck and the other will be on the bench... This weeks game could easily determine which way it goes

The coach is always the premiership coach.

Its interesting that you think McVeigh is in the mix. I haven't seen many Swans games, but of the one's I have he is not a bad mid, however I think Mark is more damaging and has better skills. I wonder whether Jarred would ever think about coming to us?

Hmmm ... would have thought that M McVeigh and A Welsh may be worthy of consideration (though looking at the list - probably as emergencies)

I'll stick my neck out here and question whether Judd is currently in AA form.

Yeah not sure about Juddy either. He's been good but not AA worthy IMO. Certainly Mitchell deserves a spot before him.

I'd also throw Aker into the mix. I think he's been better than O'Keefe, but I haven't seen enough of either to make the call.

And I think Bock would be worth a look at CHB too. Has been very, very good for the Crows this year.

He has been bloody good in recent weeks - but I reckon you're right - over the course of the entire season I don't think he deserves AA.

wouldnt consider welsh.. has played bout 5 AA worthy games at most. Fev would have to make it on the field.. will have 80+ goals for the year.

Id like to see Bock and Matthew Boyd added to the backline.

Other than that its a great job.

Honourable mentions for mine:
Akermanis
Robert Murphy
Jarrad Mcveigh
Brett Kirk
Luke Power

I asked Mark this very question last year and he said there is no chance.... I was too pissed to remember why

Jarrad was sensational against the Dogs. 6 goals & 26 possies(highest was O'Keefe with 28), keeping Cooney to 1 goal 20 possies.

It wouldn't matter... he'd get it on reputation alone. Something that is never extended to the boys in red and black.
