I wonder whether Jason, who has taken off weight and is bit quicker could fill a gap to take the big opposition forwards? Others thoughts would be appreciated. Even if we get Hurley he will be raw.

Hmmm ahhh no, i think we can do much much better than Cloke.
Jason Cloke will never play afl again i feel, he will end his career as a solid VFL player only.

Why not try it - i think guys like Cloke, Skipworth and even Dear Rama are worth holding down spots 36, 37 and 38. You cant tell me that Cloke could be any worse than the output we have had from Mal Michael this year??

I agree, he's almost infinitely worse than Mal Michael. He looks and moves like a 1960's type CHB - good value in a bog at Glenferrie but totally the wrong build for modern football.

Not sure if you get to watch the games in Dubai but Mal has been far from our worst the past month or so. We may as well get Henneman back before Cloke. Cloke can not kick and is suspect when he actually has to man up on someone.

Mrs Merc, Dawson wouldn't be the dumbest idea and might be worth a look if his contract is up or for a potential trade although it would be interesting to see how far down the road some of the young guys would be in terms of development (eg Hurley vs Dawson?)

I only mentioned Dawson because i dont think he has played at senior level with the Hawks all year and they will have to make some changes to their list. I remember he was touted as being one of the best up and coming defenders (besides from the nights when he was killed by Rocca and Brown i think)... at least he is a decent size and has played senior football.
