Looks like the injury curse is still laughing at us even this late in the year....
Essendon will make at least two changes ahead of their final game for the season with Andrew Welsh (hamstring) and Adam McPhee (ankle) set to miss through injury.
It is sure to be an emotional game as Jason Johnson, Damien Peverill, Adam Ramanauskas and Mal Michael play their last game in the red and black guernsey.
The Essendon team is:
Backs: Slattery Lovett-Murray McVeigh
Half-backs: Nash Ryder Peverill
Centres: Dyson Watson Lovett
Half-forwards: Johnson Lloyd Monfries
Forwards: Lonergan Michael Ramanauskas
Rucks: Bellchambers Hocking Stanton
Interchange: Atkinson Chartres Hooker Jetta Magin Reimers Williams

Re: The Team for Round 22
If Lovett is up for trade, why play him and risk possible injury in a junk game.
Possibly, he could be swapped for a reasonable selection or mixed with a trade.
Injured he's useless.

Ah, he is playing because noone else is available...even when he was suspended he had to be named as an emergency cause we didn't have enough players!!!!84859300 wrote:If Lovett is up for trade, why play him and risk possible injury in a junk game.

Also, just because he is trade bait, doesn't mean he should be left out. He is still one of our better players and the problems he has are more off field and remind me of Cupes...all talent, no application...
Re: The Team for Round 22
Lovett plays because he is in our best 22, and if he is to be traded, heck he needs to show his wares.
Mal Michael to FF, I like it...let the old fella kick some goals in his last match.

We've named a six man bench....no, he doesn't need to play at all.Crazyman wrote:Ah, he is playing because noone else is available...even when he was suspended he had to be named as an emergency cause we didn't have enough players!!!!84859300 wrote:If Lovett is up for trade, why play him and risk possible injury in a junk game.

Re: The Team for Round 22
I know we're in rubbish form and have a mountain of injuries, but $5.75 for a win against a rabble like St Kilda? getfarked. I'd be getting on that if I were back home.
Re: The Team for Round 22
i think there are a number of players still playing under niggling injuries, that may not come up this week.
Watson- Ankle
Slattery- Groin
Spike- Knee/Hammy
To name a couple
