The last time we played Port Adelaide in R1 at AAMI stadium was in 2004. We lost by 96 points. I really hate those bastards. We owe them some pain. A lot of pain.....

And I'll be at that game cos I'll be in Adelaide visiting family. Hope it goes better than the last match I saw at AAMI in 2006, when Adelaide thrashed us by 23 goals....

Last time we played Port there was 2007 and they beat us by 31 points after leading by 69 at 3/4 time.
The last time we beat them there was in 2000 and as Grassy points out we beat them in '97 there in what was their home ground debut.

Rama also has retired and Chartres was delisted. I doubt that Hooker will get a game so that leaves at least 7 changes if Spike doesn't come up.

Likely ins (imo) are: Hille, Fletcher, Lucas, McPhee, Skipworth, Davey and Winderlich.

Those are some pretty handy ins!!! L-Murray would be struggling to get a game you would think and Gus may miss out again like last year because both Houli and Jetta starred for Bendigo yesterday.

Obviously McVeigh and Reimers seem doubtful to play in round one. Are Hurley or Tyson Slattery a chance to debut in the first round?

Hurley and Zaharakis are in the mix for selection.

Important game for Port with the way that they finished off last season. It will be absolutely crucial for their membership / attendance numbers. And they always smash us over there. I'm hopeful but not optimistic.

i don't have high hopes for round 1. we still don't have our game-plan working properly to combat the congested zoning likely to be employed by a lot of sides. Looking at the preseason, Port are running nicely.
