Essendon vs North Melbourne Match Thread

Post by paddyl90 »

Might as well create it now so I can put my thoughts in  I am going tomorrow, straight through after work, and looking forward to the game immensely. I think our run will be too much and our forward line will be on e.g. Lloyd , Lucas, Davey and Lovett. Ones to watch are Campbell & Thomas in their forward line, they can be dangerous. Otherwise i am so confident of a convincing 5 goal plus win. I just have a feeling.....many of you may think I'm in dream land but hey we will all be happy if it comes off. Well goodnight everyone and hope tomorrow brings us another great win

GO THE BOMBERS !

Rumour is Nathan Lovett-Murray will be a late inclusion for Courtenay Dempsey.

Personally, unless Demps has come down with Quinn's flu, I will be most disappointed with that decision...

I will be interested to see what tactics Knighta goes with...

For mine, looking at the squads, I would get NLM on as early as possible and play an extra man in defence (probably at the expense of Dyson/Monfries who can interchange on the wings...) and then use NLM to provide the additional run and carry that Knights seems to favour. This will free up Fletcher to help against the Norf's big men as I think both Darce & McPhee will struggle against the likes of Hale & Petrie...

I still think that our list on paper is better and that we should win, but paper doesn't give you 4 points, so come on boys lets show those shinboners what it's all about :D

He's played three games in a row, poor bastard is probably completely buggered, don't think he has done that too many times in his career.

Must be either just a rumour or the AFL has been given the wrong mail.

Pretty insipid stuff from what I am hearing on the radio. Couple of shocking umpiring decisions for both teams but then nothing new in that.

Sounds like our mid-fielders are being pretty well negated

our defence in those last 3 mins was terrific, just needed a bit more composure and we would have got that goal from it all.

commentators said something about umpire appreciation week?? i sure s hell aint a part of that...

They clearly did not watch the 1st quarter replay from last week.

No intensity, poor skills and a couple of soft efforts (for memory Pears running back). Very disappointing so far.

North are ordinary - we shouldn't lose to them but going this way I think we will.
