The Jigsaw Man

Post by Windy_Hill »

Just finished reading Tim Watson's book on Kevin Sheedy, 'The Jigsaw Man'

For those who havent read it, may I thoroughly recommend you do so.

Having watched the Bombers right through the Sheedy Era this is a fascinating insight into the club, the controversiea, the premierships, the failures.

The inside story on the Bradbury/Carey sackings, The Back to BAck success in 85/85, The Horrible Years of 86/87.88. what went wrong in in 1990 anf the infamous GF brawl with Collingwood, the Kickett incident and so on.

Great format to read - basically snippets from interviews with all the key figures including Sheedy.

A must read if you have an inerest in the Bombers and Sheedy.

Top read, very fascinating. Knocked it over in almost a day. Provides a revealing insight to the legend that is K. Sheedy. Plenty of ammo for Sheedy haters, and plenty for his apologists, too.

Timmy must be cutting Sheeds in on some of the profits. Its hard toi imagine why Sheeds would have cooperated with the production of this book which in, the main, is not overly flattering.

It's all part of the charade. They may not agree on everything, but they both have enormous respect for one another. Why else would Tim Watson be invited as MC to any of Sheeds' tribute nights at EFC?
