Someone bottle that piece, and keep it afloat somewhere. Great reading!

If this thesis is true then the Anzac day loss will only make them stronger ! (In a misguided, militant, extremist supporter kind of way)

"A thin Pie with a wispy red beard — possibly a descendant of Albert Steptoe..." Too funny...

Hey Filth, can I ask where this article appeared. I mean, its brilliant and true in every sense of the word, but hardly something that legit publication would print

John Harms is a very clever man. He is a dedicated Geelong supporter but always puts his special philosophical bent in all his musings about footy.

He was extremely funny a few years ago in his column 'The Mug Punter' during the spring carnival.

John Harms the author is brilliant. He has a weekly column in The Age during footy season and also writes a classic punters diary over the Spring Carnival. You can also catch him on the ABC sports review program Sunday mornings.

A few years back Harms finally had a massive collect from his arch enemy, bookie Wal 'The Beaver', and his article claimed he felt so bad for the bookie that he was going to bring him a can of soup, just to make sure his family had something to eat. Next time I was at the races I saw The Beaver's tand and sure enough there was a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken soup sitting there...

Harms is a wonderful writer, and a National Treasure. His footy columns while brilliant, are only his reserve grade stuff compared to his musings on his days at the races. The guy even refers to his wife has the handicapper. Les Carlyon is the only guy in Australia who writes on sports that even comes close.

They REALLY are scum and filth
Not going to say that they aren't scum & filth, but is this kind of reaction reaction really any different to what a fair number of bombers fans would do if it were Leon Davis or Daisy or for that matter what most opposition supporters do to any 'hated' opposition player???

I actually like Neon Leon. You've got to admit, he's pretty bloody good to watch... Daisy on the other hand. Overated, soft, blah blah...
