Danger game. Aren't they all?

I expect Myers to drop back, Houli and Monfries to stay up and Hurley to come back in.

I don't know the richmond team very well at all, so who will be the key match ups etc?

Robin Nahas kicked 5 for the Tigers today and is really becoming a player for them. Foley is usually good in the middle as is Deledio.

Hurly to definately come back in for Myers, Jetta in for Davey if he gets rubbed out.

DANGER GAME.....

Have to beat Richmond and Adelaide in the next three weeks to have any hope of finals action this year.

Richmond haven't been playing that well but they do have a really good squad. We will be challenged next week, that's for certain.

We've probably hit them at the wrong time - Coughlan, Cousins and Cotchin have all had some games under their belts now and Reiwoldt will come back up after having 13 marks and 6 goals for Coburg. They were pretty good against Port and got within a goal at AAMI stadium (we lost by 7 goals). They just didn't believe they could win.

Biggest weakness for Richmond is up forward - Nathan Brown, Mitch Morton and Jack Reiwoldt can all kick goals, but are unlikely to kick big bags. Nahas had 5 against Port but I wouldn't expect him to do that very often in his career. They've got a good young backline and their midfield (Foley, Deledio, Coughlan, Cousins, Cotchin, Tuck, etc.) should be among the best in the league. Rucks are woeful.

I reckon richmond would be thinking the same thing about essendon.

dons are on the way up. surely the team will have more, not less confidence in their ability after pushing stkilda for 3/4s of a match.

richmond is the sort of match that knights can use to bury any thought of the 'other' essendon. eg. the one which turned out against the roos this year.

will be great to see hurley back, if thats the case, may hooker get a spell relieving ryder in the ruck and we drop bellchambers(who i think still needs much work)?

Yeah agree. They will be super fired up as well after their loss on Sunday, whereas I reckon most of our guys will be knackered from last night.

If we lose we only have ourselves to blame.

Hurley, Jetta in for Myers, Monfries.

Hurley on Richo up forward, McPhee on him up the ground. Or maybe Hooker on him the whole time.

Is that Richo as in Matthew Richardson...the guy who is out for 10-12 weeks after almost tearing his hamstring off the bone a few weeks ago?

If so, I don't think we need to worry about his impact on the game too much

Richardson and Cousins to miss. That just gives them the chance to play 2 uninjured players that have vfl form.

Who has replaced Richo?

Having Fletch and Hille out has been a revelation for us, seeing two to three young blokes step up. Has Richmond got a similar opportunity?

Really worried about this game. With all the bravado in the world, I certainlly expected to lose the last two games and to break even together with an honorable loss was a fantastic result.
But Saturday is one where the Richmond "faithful" turn out and pretend they are playing in a final and the pricks seem to grow another leg.
The repercussions of a loss at this stage of our resergence would be disastrous and a real test of Knighta's ability to get them up after 2 massive games. Any sign of complacency and we are doomed.
We have a lot in our favour and our fast game is ideally suited to the "G". The forecast is great (so far) and an abundance of riches at the selection table would suggest that no player can become complacent about retaining his position.
Can't wait to see the team selection on Thursday

OK so I completely forgot about Richo's injury. f*** me I am on fire with stupidity ATM.

Cousins out hurts them, I think we will win it in the middle. Watson is playing superbly and we will be too quick.

Slatts has a tough ask to contain Nahas.
Haven;t seen him play, but I've heard he's quick. Perhaps Houli should play back on him. I think Slattery was pretty much in the middle the whole game this week and Houli/Dempsey took Milne/Schneider.
