As much as I enjoyed the game today, it was hard to watch with out imagining them in red and black. Both are already champions.

remember reading an article on Junior Boy when he was 13 and how he was pinging banana goals from the boundary line in his bare feet!! His dream then of course was to play footy for his beloved Bombers!!!!

Maybe we thought that we had enough of that type of player with Davey, Jetta and Lovett in particular in the side. Myers was drafted because we lacked taller defensive players.DC wrote:Took the words out of my mouth robbie.

Of course, we didn't have a crystal ball but I'm pretty certain you take the best available player with your #1 pick. We struggle in that department year in, year out. In saying that, we've picked quite a few winners in recent years... just not many with our #1 pick.

Myers probably would have been playing in the seniors by now but he got a knock on his knee in the VFL and has been a bit ginger on it the past few weeks.

And I disagree Mrs M.
1. Myers is not a tall defener based on what we have seen. He could be a good tal wingman/half-back is fit and finds his loooong kicks again, but won't be a KPP.
2. Davey is a forward, Lovett a midfielder and Leroy is VFL level ATM. Rioli plays forward and midfield. We could f***** do with him.
