I honestly cant say - no one stands out - maybe McPhee for his four goals - NLM for trying hard???

Am bitterly disappointed - expected a loss but not this.

In terms of effort - NLM and Dyson worked hard all night. Hurley had few opportunities but used each of them.

Cheers - STI

Come off it. They have been flogging teams with full lists to choose from for the past month. We were always going to get pasted. If they play Collingwood next week, they will kill them too.

Special mention to Quinn for his efforts...he showed up a lot of more experienced players for desire and effort tonight

3. McPhee (4 goals out of 10 - good enough).
2. Hocking (tough, committed customer; and he was dropped during the season because....?)
1. Hooker (this kid looked really composed when he had the ball in close - his handballing actually hit team-mates unlike the rest of our rabble).

Have to question that one. He was totally blanketed tonight - had no effect.

Then again, neither did about 15 other blokes.....

The fact that McPhee is getting votes shows how average we were tonight.

Yes he kicked 4 goals. 3 of them were gimmies. He cost us 6 goals (at least) which were caused directly from his turnovers, his dropped marks, his getting pinged for running 15 metres in a circle , or not going hard enough at contests.

Absolutely 100% must be traded while we can get something for him. His lack of skill (ordinary kick, ordinary mark) and his brain-dead decision making has cost us about 3 goals a game, every week, for about 5 years.

I'm sure some of you don't agree, and this was not intended to be a criticism of anyone who gave him votes (seriously). Sorry for the rant.

5. Hocking (18 poss & 5 contested at 89%, 4 tackles, 4 marks) - hard at it all night.
4. McPhee (13 poss & 5 contested at 77%, 3 tackles, 6 marks, 4 goals) - about the only player we had that looked dangerous even with the occasional stuff up.
3. Stanton (24 poss & 4 contested at 96%, 4 marks, 1 goal, 3 i50) - covered the ground well, ball use was pretty good by foot.
2. Welsh (23 poss & 4 contested at 61%, game high 11 tackles, 3 clearances, 4 marks, 3 i50) - worked hard to slow their midfield which was tough with the Ruck situation.
1. McVeigh (18 poss & 4 contested at 94%, 3 i50, 4 1%) - Put in a decent effort, good ball use especially by foot.

NLM (24 poss, 5 contested at 67%, 4 marks, 5 hitouts, 4 i50, 4 1%) - a lot of the ball, ran, & annoyed the shit out of the home crowd.
Fletch (15 poss, 7 contested at 93%, 5 marks, 5 1%) - rested at the end, usual good self. Battled hard against some pretty good power forwards & good movement by their mids.
Dyson (19 poss, 6 contested at 74%, 3 i50) - some good attacking run & kicks.

(Can't really say we had any "good" players, but these three at least had a dip,
as did Hooker, Fletch, Dyson, Hurley, Pears & Quinn.)
