Reckon there'll be a few unlucky players there that might struggle to get a game if they don't give it absolutely everything this year

First cab off the rank would be Filthy.. He's struggled in the off season, and seems like he is afraid to go for a hard-ball get.

Pears, Tayte Fletcher, Dustin Welsh, Andrew
Dempsey, Courtenay Ryder, Patrick Lovett-Murray, Nathan
Dyson, Ricky McVeigh, Mark Winderlich, Jason
Davey, Alwyn Gumbleton, Scott Reimers, Kyle
Williams, Mark Hurley, Michael Monfries, Angus
Hille, David Watson, Jobe Stanton, Brent

Myers, David
Laycock, Jason
Melksham, Jake
Slattery, Henry
Prismall, Brent
Zaharakis, David
Neagle, Jay
Jetta, Leroy
Long, Anthony
Lonergan, Sam
Houli, Bachar
Hooker, Cale
Hocking, Heath
Daniher, Darcy
Atkinson, Jarrod

Gumbleton is out for mine. Wait till he shows something. Reimer, although I like him a lot, needs to show more.

Prismall is in my side, as is Hocking, Slattery, Lonergan, Laycock & Hooker. 2 to replace Gumby & Reimer, rest on the bench.

I for one am not sad guys are going to miss out. If we want to be a top side we need genuine competition for spots.

Zaha will be 100 gamer... I think this guy will be top shelf. Myers has to be in just based on the fact that he is a big solid unit and if he can stay healthy will be a good player..possibly coul edget out NLM depending on where he is played.

Mate are you fair dinkum??? Leave out NLM, Disco Murray??? I can't believe you would suggest that...it's like leaving Napoleon out of a list of the top 10 military genius of all time...and having Laycock anywher near the team is like putting Earl Haig into the aforementioned list!

Give yourself an uppercut son!

Old Mate you are acting like a Buffoon. Look carefully and I think you'll find that I still have NLM in the team... I'm just musing to myself that if Myers doesn't find a spot in the midfield then he could well be competing with NLM for that Utility position. and I'm betting that he will end up a better player.

I like NLM ... but I would have him in any top 10 list. BTW were you refering to Dynamite or Boneparte ??

I agree with you .. Laymeister should not be allowed near the team.

Sorry are you saying that you would leave Dyson out?

Didn't get to watch any footy this year?

I'd agree bomberdonnie. Dyson has turned the corner. He'll get a start ahead of Zaha. You need to earn your spot in the side.

That's what was such a disgrace about that Irish peanut getting a game in the final against Adelaide, and Atkinson. Both had one or two solid performances, but otherwise done nothing. Held up to the glow torch that is finals footy and they were both found to be nothing but foul festering sores on the aggots of giant rodents.

Hates a beer over lunch does gringo...just refuses to have one.

Here are some facts Bonnie;

1. Dyson improved this year
2. Dyson is an average player
3. Zaha will be a very good player
4. Zaha will be better than Dyson .. probably already is.
5. Grilled Burgers are very nice.

Look it up in wikipedia if you don't believe me.

I think the hardest thing to do with positions will be where to play Hurley, he has shown he can play at either end.

Dyson had his best year this year and should start on a wing.

Here's a fact for you hillchaser

Dyson finished 7th in the Crichton Medal this year.

That alone get's him a start in our best 22.

Point 3 is probably true and point 4 may also prove to be true (not true at this point in time) but Zaha needs to earn his spot just like Dyson did

It was funny watching the Anzac game again the other day. Zaka did bugger all during the game. For some reason I remember him being a star throughout the entire day. This definitely wasn't the case...

Point four is ridiculous. He's nowhere near Ricky right now...

Point 1 and 5 are factual

Point 2 is not factual in 2009 and can't see why it would be in 2010

Point 3 and 4 are hopeful possibilities apart from the end part of 4

The only thing that I believe on Wikipedia is that Thierry Henry is a c*nt

Zaka has a long way to go before he displaces Ricky Dyson from the 22.

Hillchaser, jumping the gun a bit there.. You sound like Matthew Knights, talking about "the future". Zaha will be a good player, but he isn't yet. There's nothing wrong with him getting some game time in the magoo's for a bit longer, and when he performs consistently, he can crack it for a game in the 1's. Just because he looks a player of the future, doesn't mean jack $hit. It does not give him the right to take the spot of a bloke that has clearly worked his ar$e off over the past couple of years, and put the score on the board in 2009.

Kidding yourself, period.

B Dempsey Pears Fletcher
HB Welsh Hurley McVeigh
C Dyson Winderlich Prismall
HF Williams Gumbleton Davey
F Reimers Hille Monfries
R Ryder Watson Stanton
I Zaharakis Lonergan Hocking Nat-Rat

Emergencies: Hooker, Houli, Myers

So no place for Laycock, Atkinson, Daniher, Jetta, Long, Neagle, Slattery, or the draftees.
The only thing I would be concerned about in that team is a little bit of lack of height - especially forward - although Ryder and Hurley can obviously do that which made me contemplate bringing Hooker in to act as the stop-gap in the back line. Laycock and Jetta in particularly would have to train like Gary Ablett this summer to get anywhere near the team and I am pretty confident they won't.
