Hawthorn ruckman Simon Taylor has sustained a break to his lower leg in Saturday's pre-season match against North Melbourne at North Ballarat Oval.
Hawthorn's General Manager Football Operations Mark Evans said Taylor will be sidelined for the next four months.
Hawks midfielder Brad Sewell was also injured in the practice match against the Kangaroos. Sewell was taken to a local Ballarat hospital for scans to his shoulder at half time in that match, along with Taylor.
"Scans have revealed that Brad has a broken collar bone," said Evans.
"He will have further assessment with a Specialist later this week, and we will know more then, but he will miss the first few week's of the season."
You couldn't fool your own mother on the foolingest day of your life with an electrified fooling machine.
from my experience Collar bones don't always heal as quick as a few weeks even with a pin inserted, doesn't matter as they will both miss our game either way, good news for us

As a well documented spastic Hirdy fan for his entire career... I don't actively enjoy players sustaining season threatening injuries. No matter who they are, or play for.

Tough one, but yes... even if it's Campbelle Brown
I'd rather a player I disliked played against us and just played a shite game, or just got held really quiet. I know so many people who hated Hirdy and actively celebrated when he was injured - Freo crowd a prime example - and it got up my arse.

Even if its Campbell Brown?
Campbell Brown plays severely injured every week.
In fact, he has lived his entire life with a major disability.
