Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Laycock Injured?

Post by swoodley »

Thread on BB says that Laycock injured his ankle and may be in plaster. Nothing about it in (small) report on the Bendigo game on Bomberland although I did see a comment from a user at the bottom of the story asking how bad the injury was.

Not good got Laycock if true.

I seriously hope for Jason's sake that it isnt a bad injury... i havent read anything about it yet either.

Kicked 2 early goals and must have gone off the ground soon after...

Got stretchered off the ground with an ankle injury. Not sure of the extent of the damage. It's a shame because he has been playing well for Bendigo of late - and was going very well again today. The bloke is jinxed.

Hille might be out...
Laycock sounds VERY doubtful.
Come on down Tommy Bellchambers.

The next thought is...if Laycock goes LTI list, who gets elevated?

Would love to see Marigliani get a chance. Looks ready and is a hard at it, big bodied kind of player... Hope the Cock's okay though...

Laycock's bad (foot) break

Post by F111 »

Hamilton, from efc site.
Jason Laycock has fractured his foot during the Bendigo Bombers’ win against Sandringham on the weekend.

“That’s a disappointing result for him. He’d been playing quite well,” said Hamilton.

“In light of David Hille’s report, it would have been handy to have him up and ready to go.

“We have to find out the extent of the injury, but we’re saying it will be at least six weeks”.
Richmond are devoid of decent rucks. Paddy will need backup however so I'm guessing Belly gets his next chance, if not this week, then in the next few weeks. It all depends on Hilles 3rd result before the match review crowd.

Is this the same bone that has been the ongoing problem, the one that almost ended Hird's career, and did finish Croad and Egan more recently?
