1 Geelong
Apart from the start, we were terrible all night. Turned the ball over far to easily by foot and put ourselves under stupid pressure as a result...apart from the freeo game, I can't think of a worse performance than tonight...

Crazyman x 2 but I thought McVeigh and Lonergan had a bit of a say in it being less nasty than it could have been

LOL those who think Lonergan and McVeigh played well. McVeigh was f***'n smashed in defence. Didn't get anywhere near his opponents all night. Lonergan has gone backwards. Can't kick over a jam tin and misses easy f***'n goals every time. Welsh is also finished as a footballer. Time to tap him on the shoulder. Seriously.

Lonergan adds absolutely nothing to the team, and while welsh does some good things, his opponents kill us.

Re: Votes v Geelong
Admittedly old, slow and limited in talent ... but at least had a F***kn crack - unlike at least 8-10 "players" who pulled on the red and black tonight .. and given the rapidity and regularity of the ball coming to our back line from crap ruckwork and a dud-midfield ... one of the few who didn't hang their head in the last quarter or like some ... duck the contest. So yeah - he got my sympathy vote.BenDoolan wrote: LOL those who think Lonergan and McVeigh played well. McVeigh was f***'n smashed in defence. Didn't get anywhere near his opponents all night. Re: Votes v Geelong
I don't really want to give anyone votes but I will based purely on effort (however successful)
3. Ryder (kept contesting all night and at least looked dangerous when near the ball)
2. Dempsey (still way to loose defensively but was just about the only one who took the game on after half time)
1. Bellchambers (good first up effort from the big fella...presented well and gave a genuine effort)

Re: Votes v Geelong
5. Hurley. 4 goals, 5 marks, 15 poss & 6 contested at 80%. The only positive of the night. Kept it simple, get the ball and kick the f***'n goals.
4. Davey. 15 poss, 10 contested at 73%. 3 goals, 6 tackles, 2 clearances. Kept Geelong honest in the first half & kept us in it until the debacle of the 2nd half.
3. Watson. 9 clearances, 6 ahead of our next best. 28 poss & 12 contested at 64%. Good in and under work, only good clearance player for the night.
2. Ryder. 12 poss, 8 contested at 50%. 20 hitouts, 6 tackles, 3 clearances, 6 marks & 2 contested. Apart from poor efficiency, the rest of his game was solid.
1. Jetta. 11 poss & 5 contested at 82%. 5 tackles, 1 goal. Good early on running both ways, like most others not too much on offer in the 2nd half.
The rest..![d'oh! #-o](./images/smilies/eusa_doh.gif)

Re: Votes v Geelong
McVeigh was shat on from a great height. He was way behind his man on every occasion. Went to ground far to easily and let Johnson run amok.sti dreams wrote:Admittedly old, slow and limited in talent ... but at least had a F***kn crack - unlike at least 8-10 "players" who pulled on the red and black tonight .. and given the rapidity and regularity of the ball coming to our back line from crap ruckwork and a dud-midfield ... one of the few who didn't hang their head in the last quarter or like some ... duck the contest. If McVeigh is going to be of any use to us in the next couple of years, we're better off using him as a pinch hitter up forward. At least he has attacking instincts, is a good mark, and a good kick for goal. It sure is a better bet than having ******* Lonergan waste opportunities up forward.

He is the classic bench player. But at least he is back to bleeding for the team and not up his own bum like he was this time last year..BenDoolan wrote: If McVeigh is going to be of any use to us in the next couple of years, we're better off using him as a pinch hitter up forward. Re: Votes v Geelong
Generally pantsed all over tonight.
Difficult to give votes.
3. Watson. Tried all night, turned it over a couple of times and someone has put vaseline in his sticky hand crystals.
2. Hurley. That torp was fantastic, must've been close to 70ms. Shame Fletch's didn't quite get a result.
1. Bellchambers. Held his own quite well for a while. Not a whole game, but he showed some tonight.
Dempsey had a shocker I thought.
