God knows. I watched the entire documentary on Gregg Valentino, and he was doing the most outrageous cocktail of steroids ever. Plus he was injecting them straight into his bicep. He'll be dead with complications within the decade i'd imagine.robrulz5 wrote:Who would ever want arms that big?
It's quite obvious it's not natural.
No one could get biceps or triceps that big naturally.
As to why people do this sort of thing to themselves, it's only recently come to light that most of them suffer from body dysmorphic disorder to the same extent as anorexics do. An anorexic looks in a mirror and sees an obese person no matter how skinny they are, whereas a guy like Gregg Valentino looks into a mirror and sees a scrawny pipsqueak even though he has 28 inch biceps. Many (but not all) steroid-taking bodybuilders actually have this severe psychological disorder.

Most of them aren't in control of their emotions or moods because of the steroids. It's a disgusting 'sport'. But most of the serious steroid-taking ones are lucky to make it to 50; their hearts usually just give out.robrulz5 wrote:Bodybuilders are just shocking with what they do. Some of them go overboard, they never take advice even if it's the right advice and they are always in a bad mood!

Again, all that macho ego stuff is a facade for their body dysmorphic disorder. No matter how cocky and self-confident even 'clean' body builders come across, plenty of them are actually extremely self-conscious and hypersensitive to negative comments about their bodies.robrulz5 wrote:Alot of the ones without steroids are the same. They just think so much of themselves.
A bit like Ben Stiller in Dodgeball when Vince Vaughn tells him he looks fat in leotards.
