Not a god damn clue. For a start that was before I was born, and I didn't come to Australia until 91, so I got no hope. Any other clues?

too early for another clue....surely you are well versed in North American Prog Rock Keri (especially from the mid to late 70's)

Gotta be kidding me. Has anything in our musical discussions suggested I know anything about prog rock from any decade? :)

Come on, make the next one obscure brit pop or something. Throw me a bone!

Additional clues:

The band came from Canada

The Olivia Newton John song was also the title of a movie (and a crap one at that)

A Farewell to Kings by Rush. The 11+ min track would be Xanadu.

The third album from this American band, it contains their biggest hits to date. Released after 4 straight years of touring, it also contains one track that was included on the soundtrack for a 'classic story turned into a teen movie'.
The name of the final track is also the album title.

Any extra clues?

I thought it might have been Americana by Offspring but I found out that that's their 5th album and that Americana is the 2nd last track so I was completely wrong #-o

A five piece band, they hail from a southern state in the USA and claim REM as a major influence.

After losing his brother to cancer, the lead singer started an organisation to host auctions and concerts for cancer funding and awareness. Artists to take part in these concerts in the past include -
Elton John, Jessica Simpson, Stone Temple Pilots, Aerosmith and Kid Rock.

The movie referred to earlier stars an Oscar nominated (not this role) Aussie male in a lead role.
The initials of the charity referred to earlier are L.F.L.

Yeah, realised after I'd posted it that it couldn't be since BNL are from Canada.

Yay to Keri!!!

Sister Hazell from Forida. The song 'Your Winter' was on the soundtrack for the movie '10 Things I Hate About You' starring Heath Ledger. (A remake of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew)

This is going to be easy, well, I think so, anyway.

This album is the fourth album from a now defunct band and released in 1998. It features a song in the bands native language, was the bands first number one album in the UK.

Also, the lead singers first name is the same as mine in the bands native language.
