WEATHERWATCHERS

Post by grassy1 »

Often wonder in for a look and a Check on the Cyclone season up North.'Course, that doesn't affect most of yers.Except maybe the remains of OLGA drifting South. You get any Rainfall from that?Did the MURRAY?

Which led me to view the ADELAIDE Radar.Could swear it looks like 3 little DOOZIES Merging into one.Wonder how it will Pan out in the end?Hmmmmm,.........

Looks really promising grassy. I actually have a keen interest in weather. My brother is an aspiring meteorologist and growing up the weather was always something to get excited about, e.g. rain events, thunderstorms. Anyway, the moisture that is around with this system coming down from the north will probably get us 20-40mm statewide in Victoria if not more. They're expecting follow up rainfall for next week so might be back to a wetter weather trend in Victoria which we can only hope for to get those dams up.

I totalled the rainfall for Summer thus far for my property the other night, and I think it came to something like 40.5mm over two months. And yet my NSW friends are whinging it rains nearly every second day? We were forecast rain today... had about 1mm in small showers. Sighs.

Well I think they're fairing the best up there Swoods. Epic Fail here. Don't see much in the way of rainfall happening here it's all in Eastern Victoria. Very frustrating!! BOM got it wrong!

Anyone notice 2 cyclones in the SOUTH PACIFIC in the Global section of BOM?

Could you classify those as TWIN CYCLONES from a technical point of view in weather? And what are the odds of the 2 Combining?Long at the moment as they appear to be moving in different directions.
