Taal volcano - Philippines

Post by Crazyman » Mon Jan 13, 2020 1:11 am

I am so f****** lucky.

Was 5 mins from landing on the beach with the family on our way to trek upto the volcano when we got a call from the operator on mainland cancelling the trip.

I would upload a pic, but file size to big 😢

Not something I would normally do, we were in the area doing other touristy stuff and changed plans to go there...

Certainly not something I will ever forget...

As far as I can tell, everyone was evacuated from and around the volcano, but I really feel for the local population...

Not sure if I will get out as Manila’s airports are shut down...all the places we are planning to go to we have to pass the area of the volcano...

Craziest day and awesome stories to tell for years to come...,

Yes, volcanic ash can cause catastrophic events on aircraft. Hope you’re able to get back safely.

Dunno what's more hazardous to your health - volcanoes or supporting this f****** club!

But Seriously. Glad too hear that you are OK. Geez this off season has been dangerous for some of the regulars in here.

Take it easy and thank your lucky stars for the reprieve.

Cheers guys.

Been a crazy summer to be sure.

As for health concerns, easier to deal with the volcano than the stress of the EFC and its false promises, mediocre efforts, money grabbing mindless drivel, unprofessional attitudes.

On the home front, thoughts and prayers stay with the fireys and all those impacted by the bushfires.
