I knew you'd be all over this.

As Sismis said a while ago ..the biggest problem is the high credit levels all over the world.. it's a house of cards

This is also a good article

Interesting to see how far it goes off the boil. Reporting season is ramping up over the next month and so long as results meet expectations, i suspect things will settle down notwithstanding the problems in the US and the imminent rate rise in either August or September.

Woodside is due to announce its final decision Re Pluto today. One would be quite surprised if they didn't go ahead with it.

EDIT: Pluto given the green light. Nice.

I agree...

everyone's saying that it's just a blip on the radar and that the australia market is not so dependant on the US .. but still have a feeling about the domino effect. Oil aside I'm going to sit out of the game for a while.

Should have listened to you earlier last week and I would have been a lot richer.

Tough times are already here for many investors.

Fincorp, ACR etc. going to the wall due to what looks like massive overvaluation of property assets. Millions of mum/dad money in unsecured notes that may never be seen again, not to mention self managed super money. (if an interest rate looks too good, chances are it is.....)

The market is well an truly due for a trough, interest rates flagged to go up next month.

Could be time to get real basic in bunker type investments.
