1. Falling out of my sick bed, and driving my son up to Sydney to watch us play the Swans.....McVeigh kicks the sealer, and the look of joy on my boys face as he jumps and down on his seat with a tear rolling down his face screaming "Da, that's the greatest goal I have ever seen". That moment is going to live with me forever.

2. Hearing Interpol's "Our Love To Admire" for the first time.

3. The relief when it was obvious we had gotten rid of the prick Howard.

4. The look on Hirdy's face when we beat West Coast for our second one point win in a row.

5. The Cure playing "Push" at Rod Laver Arena

6. Cadel's tour. All heart, blood, and guts.

7. The Cricket World Cup

8. The United Colours of Bennelong

9. My other sons first soccer goal.

10. Flopping 3 aces over my opponets 3 Kings, and winning a $1,800 no limit holdem pot, and the following night winning my first Omaha tournament for a shit load of cash.

In no particular order:

- New job, pay rises, etc..
- Shifting to Melb.
- Hird & Sheeds. The good wins, & the emergence of Davey, Ryder. Fletcher's torp, Lloydy's back heel, Rama back in action..
- New Interpol album, & all the new music courtesy of Robbie, etc..
- Liberals gone.
- Seeing the Pies get close to an undeserved GF berth only to lose.

1. Sitting at home running between the PC and the ABC coverage trying to figure out when I could relax and celebrate, then hitting myself over the head because the PC is a LAPTOP.

2. Starting running again and cutting 50% off my 4km time.

3. Getting into the WCE game after we didn't get tickets and had resigned ourselves to watching from the pub. Who cares if we had to stand?

4. Introducing the boyfreind to the music I love and watching him lap it up, and seeing some truly awesome performers that he loves.

I know. Just because I keep it in the study doesn't mean it's anchored there, but in my excitement, it took at least three hours to realise I could move the damn thing!

My dad's been a bit crook lately but we recently received a good report from the doctor so for me that's quite comfortably my favourite moment of the year.

Some other highlights:

- Getting my degree from James Cook University. Pity I had a gastro bug the day of the ceremony and spent most of the day on the loo not sure which end it was coming out of.

- Getting a job after much searching and then receiving a substantial pay rise at the end of the year. It's even better when you love the work you do.

- Darren Lockyer's golden point field goal to sink the Titans at Lang Park earlier this year.

- The 1pt win over WCE. Jesus that was fabulous.

- The GF and I winning a mini-cooper for the weekend and trecking down to the Gold Coast with the windows down and the wind whipping in our faces. Such a beautiful car.

Been a pretty good year under some tough circumstances.

Watching Hilary Clinton get crucified during the Democrate debates.
Listening to Ron Paul slam Rudy Guiliani during the Rebuplican debates.
Argument between Bill O'Reily and Geraldo Rivera over illegal immigration.
Finally, Essendon's victory of the Eagles by a point.
