RIP John Clarke

He made sense of the nonsense. I first saw him in my teens on A Current Affair and from then on I could hear his voice in my head everytime the weasels running this show opened their mouth.

Iconic commentator, out walking in the Grampians. Natural causes. Cardiac arrest I'm guessing.

He will be sadly missed and he'll be heavily celebrated. RIP Fred Dagg.

Very sad.

One of the funniest things I've seen was in The Games when he realized the 100mt track was short.

Loved him most on The Gillies Report with a Host of Australian Comedic Comic Talent(Max Gillies,Wendy Harmer,Phillip Scott and Tracey Harvey)and The Games with Bryan Dawe,Gina Riley and Nicholas Bell.

Of course, there was Clarke and Dawe on 9 and the ABC,Fred Dagg and even on Death in Brunswick with Sam Neil,he was very funny there.

RIP John Clarke.

Haha, yes! A truly magnificent scene.

He was guest-host on Classic FM recently on a Saturday morning. In addition to playing some gorgeous music his knowledge and humour was second-to-none. A big loss indeed.
Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days at the Essendon Football Club.

My first memory of him was of Fred Dagg talking about the
mysterious game of farnarkling. I remember him speaking passionately about Dave Sorenson's ability to handle the arkle.

A true gentleman and funny bugger. One of the most witty comics in Australasian history.

RIP John Clarke.

:(

Frank Woodley got emotional talking about him after his show the other night and recommended this as his favorite clip:
Aaron Francis is the Messiah.

Saw the Tribute Monday Night and had a ball.

Half an Hour was never enough mind you.

Loved his role in Death in Brunswick as Karl's mate,Dave.

Not featured, but really loved it,was his turn in the last episode of The Games as one of The Seekers.A mimed simulation that went way out of sync, with the boys struggling to keep up with Judith's( Gina)frantic motioning.Hilarious.

They were supposed to be singing The Carnival Is Over.If anyone has some footage of that,my eternal thanks for it.
