Not all heros wear capes. Some wear scuba tanks.
What a magnificent result.
Thai Cave Rescue
Re: Thai Cave Rescue
Great that they’re all out of that cave, but you got to ask, what the hell were they doing there in the 1st place?
Sadly, before the rescue attempt started, one diver lost his life according to a news report.
So it wasn’t a total success,I’m afraid to say.

Re: Thai Cave Rescue
I heard they were meant to be there, but got trapped because of a landslide after heavy rain...
Re: Thai Cave Rescue
Maybe, but with the Monsoon season coming on,you would have thought a cave would be one of the last places, you’d want to be.
Re: Thai Cave Rescue
I was talking about it with someone today. They may have entered the cave and travelled not that far in when they were then trapped by the water. They may have then ventured much further looking for another way out. Going 4 km down a cave system does seem really extreme thing to. I reckon they never intended to get that far in but then found themselves stranded by the water levels.
Whatever the reason the whole rescue exercise is a triumph of human cooperation, determination and good will.

How much space did the poor sods have to themselves for days on end?
Not much room for a moment or 3’s privacy,I reckon.
Not much room to use a spade and if it came to the surface,.........
