Totally unexpected.

I would expect Thwaites to be installed as Premier.

Sheedy to become Premier in an attempt to help Victorian Football Clubs.

Bracks to become Essendon Coach.

This has been an incredible week.

Unless he's being installed as Premier.

Hey, he was hinting last night on the Footy Show that he had something big in the wings!

The Hon. Sheeds MP: Premier and Minister for Plonk.

Watch this space...

Hey, that's a bit harsh. He'll also be establishing a Committee to work out what his reasons were.

The Committee is due to release its findings sometime in 2009.

Channel 9 and other various sources are reporting that Thwaites is going to resign this afternoon as well.

There might be a scandal about to break if both are going.

Or Thwaites didn't have the numbers to become premier and has spat the dummy.

i think the resignations are a response in disguest at Sheeds not having his contract renewed.

Those were my two thoughts as well, with the second hypothesis being the much more likely one. If the Cabinet has voted to install the Wild Horse instead of Johnstone, Johnstone probably couldn't be bothered hanging around for another 5+ years as loyal deputy. He's young enough to go off and do other things.

A mate stuck his head through the office door this morning and yelled "Bracksy's resigned!!"

I have been so conditioned and shell shocked this week, my first reaction was "Who the f*** does Bracksy coach??!!"

Could it be that the enquiry into poker machine licences was going to throw up some curlies??

Just a thought.

f***....that means we are going to have to put up with Brumby....

Even the ALP didn't want him in charge 8 years ago.

at least he has enough of a majority to hang on for at least 1 more term and "sure up" his golden handshake

Something just dosen't smell right.

So now we in Victoria are stuck with a leader that we didn't elect for three more years. Really makes you question 4 year terms in office.
