Bombers vs Dockers Match Thread
I'm about to head to the game and noticed no-one had started this - so thought I'd get in first!
Looking forward to today with quiet confidence. Since we have a little more pace than in recent years - I think the wide open spaces will suit us better - and will give our key fwds plenty of room to work in and together.
I'm ready for a big one from Lonergan, think Stants will come into his own in the 2nd half, and predict Welsh to go to Palmer.
I think Fletch is our best defender anywhere on the ground - and so should go to Pavlich - but won't be surprised if he changes up with Paddy if Pavlich moves further up the ground.
Key area will be Hille vs Sandilands. Hille isn't going to chalk up as many hitouts today - and therefore Jobe and Spike will probably not get as many clearances - unless of course, we play smart and have someone roving to Sandilands - maybe should be the role of Reimers and co on the wings - who can come in off the square with a better look at where the pill is going to fall.
Can't wait. Go the Dons.

Re: Bombers vs Dockers Match Thread
I hate channel 7. They're playing the replay of the 1998 Grand Final instead of ANY live or delayed footy games this week. Didn't see the Melbourne game, won't see the Essendon game. Instead we're forced to watch a 10 year old Grand FInal when there's live footy being played. You morons! They played a flashback last week before our game, which was delayed by 2 hours. I'm getting jack of them.

Anyone watching the game, regular updates would be great. I'm having to listen via AFL.com ... and it just dropped out for me. Yay.

First goal to the Dons - Mcveigh snap. Predominantly Freo before hand but some awful kicking by the sound of it

First goal for Freo - didnt hear who scored
Sounds like Freo have lost Hayden
We;ve retaken the lead - blistering pace from Jetta setting up Rama

1/4 time
Freo 2:7 17 - Bombers 3:2 20
Sounds like Freo have had more posession and their kicking has been atrocious, wheras Jettas pace has been killing them
Laycock takes a screamer shortly before 1/4 time

Re: Bombers vs Dockers Match Thread
OK so far. Jetta really good across half-forward. McVeigh good in the centre. McPhee and Monfries have been conspicuously poor.
Problems are going to be the dominance of Sandilands and Pavlich. Although even with Sandilands dominating we're still doing OK at the clearances - we're sharking their taps pretty well.
