The skills of that bloke were incredible - left foot or right foot, it was immaculate.Gimps wrote:What about the work of Glenn Hawker? He was a pearler in the last 5-10 minutes.. I've still got his signature somewhere at home.Ronny Rotten wrote:I was unable to talk after that game as i have never yelled so much during the last 5 minutes . Truly outstanding. I was standing in front of the press box next to the Essendon coaching box & recall Sheeds standing up clapping the boys as they walked of the ground.rockhole wrote:I was fortunate enough to be at Princess Park when Neil Daniher personally rolled Carlton.
After having shit put on me all day, I really served it up to thos scumbags and was lucky to get home in one piece.
"Carlton looked home in this match at the 20 minute mark of the final quarter when they held a 4 goal lead but with Neale Daniher on fire and a controversial time-wasting decision against Mike Fitzpatrick the Bombers ended up winning their 14th consecutive match by 1 point with goals deep in time-on - 14.15.99 to 15.8.98"

Notice the importance & brilliance of T Watson in those last 5 mins. I reckon he got about 6 hard ball possessions & was just as crucial as N Daniher. His son now is playing a similar role & after seeing that vision Jobe has really taken after his dad. They play so much alike.
Also note such names as Alan "rooter" Reid (2) & Mark "wally" Eustace (47) , names i had forgotten about.
Downside I believe that Daniher "did" his knee the following week against South Melbourne at Windy Hill & was never the same again. Pity that , a potential brilliant career cut short.
Although i hate the dawks, the passionate hatred i have for the filth & especially the scum far surpasses all others.
Remember : This Staurday , No mercy asked for , no mercy given. Take no prisoners.

That is hilarious.
In 2005 we picked up Ryder who will be better than Murphy. We also got Dempsey who is getting better all the time, Lonergan who is becoming an important part of the midfield and Hocking was picked up as a rookie.
I guess 2006 wasn't as good with Gumbleton not able to keep his body right. Jetta is going alright and Davey could be a good player.
2007 started badly with Myers but we did ok after that with Pears and Hooker looking like our future FB/CHB combination. we also picked up Bellchambers that year in the pre-season draft who has improved so much over the pre-season that he could establish himself in the team this year.

Just had a c*** at work say the following...
"Are you jealous because Carlton are the most successful team in history?"
Fair to say I tore him a new arsehole! What a cockhead..

I f****** hate these c**** more than all the other clubs put together. Had the good fortune of living about four blocks from Princes Park during the early 2000s though, it warmed my heart to see them trudge past my house on the way to the tram stop when they won the wooden spoon

Re: The Official f*** Carlton thread
I love this one from Talking Carlton - this guy is trying so hard to not admit that we are his worst nightmare - I love the reference to Collingwood being their real rival, but he then slips back into how amazing it will be if they beat us (dream on dufus).
Well frankly,
i 'm a little scared.
For starters, someone is out Donstui-ing our Don Stui!!
Secondly..the londoner is talking truth all over the place, and ruining a perfectly good thread...
Thirdly...nothing good can come from red and black..and nothing ever will.
eg: Dracula and the devil's colours.
but ...
even though I'm a tad nervous...and I freely admit that Collingwood will always be the top arch rival for me...
I just know deep down, that if ALL our team decide to stand up and play 100%...
if they do..then we are the better team, and...we have more soul and spirit than the bombers could ever dream of.
Imagine how good...I mean IMAGINE how it will feel when we beat them on Saturday.
Sure they'll blame the 6 day turnaround...
but we will know..everyone will know..that we are a better team.
The respect that started growing last week, will flower in to full blown CONCERN about our dark navy on the rise

The expletives are reminiscent of an ol' classic. Whilst OT, I had to put it here.

Watching them pull themselves off after flogging the Gold Coast makes me sick.
Time to put them back in their place.
