How f****** good is Kumar Sangakkara? Unbelievable. He's just scored his 8th double century in test cricket. Now has 26 test centuries, nearly 9000 runs at an average of 56+

Who has he made them all against, and what was their standing at the time?
Good stats, nonetheless.

Has an OK record against us (@42) and an "ordinary" record against the Poms (@38). Kills it against everyone else with averages well above 50.F111 wrote:Who has he made them all against, and what was their standing at the time?

He is a gun, hate to say it but I think he's gone past Gilly as the best wicketkeeper/batsman.

Re: International Cricket
gentleman to boot...one of my favourite cricketers of all time.
anyone remember his 2nd innings 192 he made in Hobart a few years ago - he got hit on the helmet pulling and given out caught at gully or point - blatant error by the retard Koertzen from memory - but before the days of review.
I remember the channel 9 commentators saying KS's knock was a a genuine masterclass.

FMD!!!
Just checked the scores of the West Indies v England match played at Edgbaston and couldn't believe my eyes!
Tino Best batting at No.11 with a test batting average of 9.80 made 95 off 112 balls! Faaaark!
Ramdin (107*) and Best put on 143 for the last wicket.
No result apart from a draw will occur due to the typical English "summer"

Re: International Cricket
ICC precious much?
Dinesh Ramdin has been fined 20% of his match fee for displaying a protest (ICC words - in my book it is a jibe) piece of paper aimed at Viv Richards after making his century - with the words "YEA VIV, TALK NAH" which is slang for "Yeah Viv, Talk Now".
They charged him for "behaviour contrary to the spirit of the game". Just WTF does that mean? Is there a definition of what "the spirit of the game" is?
It's ok for cricketers to be publically criticised but they cannot respond. What a crock of shit. I see it as no different to a batsman who points his bat (and mouths some choice words) at the press club or commentary box after making a century after his form has been criticised. But that's ok?
For the record, Ramdin also displayed a piece of paper when he scored his 1st test century "Ian Bishop, David Williams and Ramnaresh Sarwan" in recognition of the the help they provided him.
It would be a different story if he displayed a note saying "Viv, you're a cockhead", but this is just total overkill.

Kumar Sangakkara is at it again. Just scored his 30th Test century in the 2nd Test against Pakistan. Phenomenal batsman. He scored 199* in the 1st Test and is currently 144* at stumps on the 4th day. Averages 56.54 which is right up there with the all time greats.

Playing for a shit team and still have an A++ record
Re: International Cricket
Sangakkara was dismissed for 192. Could have 10 double centuries if he got through in his last couple of attempts.
He's back to No.1 batsman in the world.

Very sad news regarding Mark Boucher.
Terrible to see a player who has given so much to the sport in his country retire due to injury.
