Changes v Launceston
Changes v Launceston
Do Hocking, Winders, Zaka, Pears come in?
You can't drop Dell and Trav on todays form.
NLM, Jetta, Merrett and O'Brien are on the chopping block for mine.
I think Launceston are short down back so it wouldn't be a shock to see Gumby or Joe play.

Re: Changes v Launceston
Out - Hurley, NLM, Merrett, Jetta
In Daniher, Winderlich, Hocking, Zaharakis (Howlett a maybe if Hocking comes back through the ressies)
Hurley needs a break and time to reassess his game. He was atrocious today and has been average most of the year

In: Zaharakis, Hocking (play as the sub if not match fit), Howlett, Winderlich
Out: NLM, Jetta, Merrett, O'brien
- Not sure how Merrett got a game today after having 4 touches last week. Only the 10 today. Young - but gotta make way.
- NLM was just used as a big body to give someone in the top 22 a rest. Out now.
- Jetta didnt do enough - turned it over a lot.
- Obrien probaly the stiffest. Played quite well but his not as effective as the 4 inclusions.
Hurley will be handy to have - if things are not working down back he can have a crack their. Thoughts of dropping him are silly.

Spot on. Our VFL play tomorrow so I wouldn't expect anyone running out in that game to back it up Friday night.npskinner wrote:In: Zaharakis, Hocking (play as the sub if not match fit), Howlett, Winderlich

If his name wasn't M. Hurley he would be (should be) dropped.

Ya reckon? It's not like he was terrible all day like Crameri was and he still kicked 2 goals.JockStraps wrote:If his name wasn't M. Hurley he would be (should be) dropped.

Re: Changes v Launceston
Hurley wont be dropped, his bulk and experience will be very useful against a Hawks defence of Lake, Stratton and Gibson. If Carlisle struggles with Roughie then Hurls can be sent back if needed too.
IN- Howlett, Hocking, Licha (Zaka I feel wont be right, Pears unlucky not to get a spot)
OUT- Natrat, Jetta, Merrett

Re: Changes v Launceston
This, with Daniher to be considered. Lake is at his best when playing on no one, or no one good and Gibson can struggle against good tall forwards. If Hurley and Crameri dish up what they did this week (I'm prepared to give Crameri a pass given he was coming back from injury) they'll (Gibson and Lake) dominate our end.robbie67 wrote:In: Hocking Winderlich Zaka

Hurley is probably the best matchup for Roughead. He's got that extra strength that is probably required.Mrs Mercuri wrote:Hurley wont be dropped, his bulk and experience will be very useful against a Hawks defence of Lake, Stratton and Gibson. Re: Changes v Launceston
Out, Merrett, nlm/jetta, bags
In, winda, zaha, hocking/howlett
Not sure if hocking needs a run in the twos first
Maybe benny needs to find some form in the twos
As he's dropped off since the start of the year
I'd keep one of nlm or jetta in... Both could play
A big roll come finals and need senior game time
Both need to show they can play well against good
Opposition and make a contribution in a big match
Prob can't keep both in this week though.
Bags and Merrett unlucky as they've both been great
This year but we need Zaha and winda in the team

in which case drop the players that havent been great this year.patoman wrote:Bags and Merrett unlucky as they've both been great

Dropping Baguely for either Jetta or NLM would be a travesty and I wouldnt blame the kid for being completely disillusioned
Re: Changes v Launceston
Yep fair call but I don't like giving jetta just one game
Then dropping him after he's had some very consistent
Form in the twos.... I say lets give him the next two games
against quality opposition to show he can play a roll for us
If he does nothing fine drop him for the rest of the season
and trade him at seasons end. Nlm has always been a frustrating
player, just when ya start to get on his bandwagon he does
something terrible which undoes all his good wk! That said
he is a very hard player to match up when he is playing well.
He's had good success with the sub role, I think this prob suits
him best. I don't think either of these two are in our best 22
when everyone is fit but can be v handy if we get injuries and
given the service they've given the club both deserve the chance
to show they still have something to offer.

Bags won't be dropped. I reckon he will play on Cyril.
Re: Changes v Launceston
Jetta should have his locker cleared out. I would rather NLM in the side because he at least has a crack.

Re: Changes v Launceston
Jetta to GWS for a couple of dozen bottles from Sheed's cellar ... oh ... to much? well trade for pick 2 then...
My Outs ... Jetta, NLM, Jetta, Merrett, Jetta (just to make sure)
My Ins ... Howlett, Winders, Zacha (recon 50/50 to play though - Doc Reid is always so optimistic about recovery )
If Hocking is fit - NoB to make way
Also suspect that Pears will come in for one of the forwards to allow Fletch to run out of the forward 50... as per sir JAmes

Re: Changes v Launceston
Wouldn't mind NLM playing so he can give Hodge a whack if he starts to courageously bully our young players.
