Nano's or mini are notoriously problematic. With Pods you have to get a full sized one or nothing at all.

I've got a 30gb video Pod and it goes great guns.

I don't. I've got an iRiver from last Christmas. It's still going strong.

My 30GB is ticking along nicely.

Bought myself an ITrip for the car, best money I ever spent, no longer have to listen to the radio if I don't want, just carry the pod with me everywhere and pump it through 88.6 on the radio!

Would anyone know the price of the radio tuner thing that enables you to listen to the radio through your ipod and where could I find it?

As with most things the official Apple one is going to be a lot more expensive.

That's a guide to some of the products available, I'm sure if you shop around you'd get cheaper. Even Ebay could be an option.

rama fan - official apple one vs what? Are there i-Ripoffs? I'm intrigued.

I'm told the battery life of the i-Pods was i-shithouse but they fixed that?

There's other brands that make the technology that allow you to play your Ipod through your radio, for a lot cheaper than the official Ipod one!

Got an 80 GB video, and other than one freezing incident early on (6 months ago) havent had any probs. Got the iTrip and the radio attachment and both are great. The 80 GB is great for putting everything on it. Have 30 Full length movies, 4000+ songs, TV shows and still am only about 30-40% full.

I got 3.

The old school 20GB, no battery life, I just keep it charged in my car to use it through iTrip

Nano 1GB, comes in handy and a crappy Shuffle
It's peanut butter jelly time!

i had endless problems.. i got one the very first day it was released in australia. went great for 2 months and now it just freezes, the batterey lasts 1 hour and sometimes plays half a song and changes to next song. peice of shit.
sent it back to apple before warranty finished and they said they would have to charge me to fix it because it was from physical damage!?!? i treated it like a royal king.
never going to go back to apple. thats my experience

Geez, that must suck Dyson. Mine froze the other night right after I posted on this thread. But I just shut it down by holding the menu and enter buttons at the same time and all is back to normal. So hopefully it was a one off.

I got my 80 GB overseas, but you can get them new here for approx $500. Still have an old mini, but never gets used nowadays.
