Unbelievable last wicket stands in the current India v England test match. India stacked on 111 for their last wicket with Mohammad Shami making 51 not out at No.11
England reply with a 198 last wicket stand with Jimmy Anderson making 81 at No.11

Sangakkara just cracked his 37th test century (221), which turns out to be the 10th time he's passed 200. Averaging almost 59. Awesome.

Hopefully I'll be in Melbourne this Summer, only this time to Finally get to CAULFIELD,watch the Nag run around, have a bet or 3,a few beers and then some. Also, try and check out any History there on The Great Grandfather's Nag - SHADOW KING!
For a Few years(Decades more like),there Was a bit of Family Folklore on SHADOW KING's fate against PHAR LAP! Possibly Bulllshit, given SHADOW KING finished 4th,when PHAR LAP Won the Race that stopped the Nation.
ZIPPING finally Won A Big One before Retiring, which had The SANDOWN CLASSIC named after it.But what was the saying about ZIPPING?It was the SHADOW KING of Modern Racing.Always the Bridesmaid, never the Bride.
Cricket?Assuming there's no VCA Bye,where does the ESSENDON CRICKET CLUB play these days?

Re: International Cricket
Such a shame that they're not really a nation and they're not really united. They'll never get back to their halcyon days when they dominated world cricket. Too many young kids not interested in the sport anymore. They are following their dreams in basketball and soccer. Mainly because they will get more mullah.bomberdonnie wrote:They seem to do that every few years...Gyoza wrote:West Indies are packing up and going home mid-series in India over a pay dispute. Oops.

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing him in action movies performing scissor kicks and air chainsaw. I'm sure his famous movie quotes will be along the lines "I'm really pleased with the way it's coming out" and "I'm as fast as I've ever been".j-mac31 wrote:Benny, you'll be interested in this:

Regardless of the minnow opposition, Bangladeshi Shakib al Hasan has performed a rare feat in test cricket. He has become only the 3rd player in history to score a hundred and take 10 wickets in a test match. Only Ian Botham and Imran Khan have done it before him.

Sri Lanaka could only manage 251 as a team in reply.

That freak Kumar Sangakkara is at it again....
Just passed 12,000 test runs (in the quickest time - 224 innings), knocked up his 38th test century, and his 11th double century (one behind the world record held by Sir Donald Bradman). His average is a bees dick under 59. Amazing.
