Stuck in 1st gear again. About as good as the scum game. Maybe time for Hurley to go forward.

Re: Round 5 v St Kilda
Sometimes I feel like this team is too hung up on game plan that they have forgotten how to play on instinct. It seems like they are often unaware of the game situation.

This game is so bad to watch. And; just I thought we couldn't play much worse than we have been. I was wrong.
Guess I picked the wrong week to stop drinking.

Nearly half time on the replay here in perth.
Same thoughts as you windy. Over it.
I have been invited to next week's game at subi.
We will be annihilated.

Re: Round 5 v St Kilda
We only appear to have a handful natural footballers that are capable of doing the right thing 99% of the time. Colyer is one of them, Fletcher another. As for the rest I really wonder.
Hams once again did pretty well compared to many others even though he had little time on the ground. Surely this guy deserves to be in the first 22.
I am really worried by 2 players in particular - Hibberd and Dempsey.

Re: Round 5 v St Kilda
About 4 times in the last quarter we had players running into the forward line with no one near them and within range each time we did what I class as a non kick which created a turnover.
When Colyer got in the half back line I was screaming DO NOT give it to anyone. Thank God he didnt because it was his goal that won us the game.

We didn't deserve to win that one.

Its all been seen and said before I definitely picked the wrong week to stop drinking. I'm sure we still have lots of excuses for the coaching team can put forth. Like it was a grinding win. I feel grinded already! This was a poor performance by almost the whole team. What the hell is going on at TVSC? This is the third game in a row. Carlton, Collingwood and St. Kilda. How we won that game is beyond me.
Thanks to Ambrose, Heppell and Colyer who tried hard most of the day.

It's been a decade since we had a coach who knows what they are doing.Windy_Hill wrote:There's so much I want to say but after 10 years of this shit I've pretty much given up.
Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days at the Essendon Football Club.

Re: Round 5 v St Kilda
What another disappointment- yes we got the 4 points but if we ever want to be taken seriously as a contender we need to start thrashing sides like the Saints.
We looked flat all over the ground and lacked genuine pace through the middle. If it wasn't for the efforts of Fletcher, Colyer, Merrett, Carlisle and Ambrose we would not have won that match.
Watson and Goddard carrying injuries? Both have been well below their explosive best lately.

Re: Round 5 v St Kilda
We asked for a four quarter effort and we got one.
Unfortunately, it was four quarters of complete CRAP!
