Ins & Outs
Re: Ins & Outs
Stevens requested trade to St Kilda.
Just shows the rumours are way out.
Does it also show that managers think there aren't many soft spaces in our best 22 for fringe players from other teams to break in for regular games?

Wouldn't say they are way out, he was a long way down the track with us.s'dreams wrote:Stevens requested trade to St Kilda.

Re: Ins & Outs
Kommer and Eades gawne.
Re: Ins & Outs
Yestin would be going to the rookie list you think.
Essendon Football Club- We arent arrogant, just deluded.
Re: Ins & Outs
Has been asked to train with the club to try to get on the Rookie List, so no guarantee.boncer34 wrote:Yestin would be going to the rookie list you think.
Re: Ins & Outs
Ok ... we now have:
2015 One spot not filled
2016 Senior Delistings - Hibberd, Cooney, Pears, Gwilt, Ashby, Edwards, Kommer & Eades
2016 Rookie Changes - Wallis (Delisted) Tippa (to be elevated)
By my count (hopefully correct) that makes 9 senior spots available without even considering McKernan or Dempsey.
At this stage, they will be filled by:
Dea, Kelly (Delisted Free Agents) Tippa (rookie elevation)
National Draft: Picks 1, 20, 29 and 41.
That currently leaves up to two more picks... possibilities include:
* using pick 68 in the draft on a smokie/speculation,
* picking up a delisted free agent (Richards etc) in the draft or PSD or
* upgrading a rookie (Long, McKenna or Hams?)
Thoughts???

Re: Ins & Outs
I think McKenna is a chance for elevation, and Josh Green could get a crack.
Re: Ins & Outs
I think Green is definitely worth a look, we have been lacking a Ginga small forward for too long.Gimps wrote:I think McKenna is a chance for elevation, and Josh Green could get a crack.

Give Tippa some hair dye. The combination has promise.Sismis wrote:I think Green is definitely worth a look, we have been lacking a Ginga small forward for too long.Gimps wrote:I think McKenna is a chance for elevation, and Josh Green could get a crack.

He would be a good player in a good side. We are not a good side but I think he is the best player available to fit our needs at the moment.boncer34 wrote:He is absolute garbage.Sismis wrote:I think Green is definitely worth a look, we have been lacking a Ginga small forward for too long.Gimps wrote:I think McKenna is a chance for elevation, and Josh Green could get a crack.

Re: Ins & Outs
I thought Eades looked alright early in the year? Maybe it was only in one game.
I'd definitely get Richards and I think we'd be able to get him as a delisted free agent.

Aaron Francis is the Messiah.
Re: Ins & Outs
McKenna upgraded.
Re: Ins & Outs
Good to see. Improved considerably late in the season.
Re: Ins & Outs
Upgraded but was only given a 1 year deal, which I find somewhat strange.Gimps wrote:McKenna upgraded.
Re: Ins & Outs
Makes sense to me. Keep him on his toes & hungry to succeed, avoiding complacency and maintaining the motivation to work hard and succeed. He's getting better but not quite proven himself just yet.ealesy wrote:Upgraded but was only given a 1 year deal, which I find somewhat strange.Gimps wrote:McKenna upgraded.

These days, the length of a contract doesn't seem to matter shit anyways.F111 wrote:Makes sense to me.
