Australia v Pakistan Test Series 2016/17

Post by BenDoolan »

They've left out Chadd Sayers for this Day / Night Test. FMD, what's this "can't touch Lyon" mentality with the selectors? f****** dumb decision IMO...

Yeah. I'm pretty down on Lyon most of the time anyway; I just don't think he's particularly good. This was definitely a game he shouldn't have played. Watch him now get 6 wickets.

Stark ends Shafiq's run.

What a magnificent fightback from Pakistan, 40 runs 1 wicket... LOVE TEST CRICKET!

And it's all over! Doesn't feel much like a win though!

This game should have been over on Saturday!

They should have Rammed the Advantage Home on a team whose confidence was Shot to Bits, but instead gave them breathing space to regroup.

The Follow On Should have been Enforced!

Who's decision was it NOT to do so?

Did Smith say it was his and Boof's?

If so,f****** Bullshit it was Steve!

Don't let those Pricks upstairs dictate your decisions on the field.

You should not give a Flying f***,whether the Test lasts 5 days,as those Money Grabbing Bastards so desired!

As it was, they got their just desserts as a lousy 6 and half Thousand went through the Gates on the Final 2 Days,so that annoying little statistic turned out to be a Complete Disaster for them!

You find yourself in the same position again,Enforce the Follow On!Never mind the Hoo ha and superstitions about Headingly and Eden Gardens!

Follow ons are hardly ever enforced since VVS Laxman murdered Australia in 2001.

Since then, captains would rather gain leads in excess of 450 and make the opposition bat late Day 4 and all of Day 5 on a wearing pitch where a decent spinner can wreak havoc.

The same idea applied in this match - although, we allowed more time for them to score the runs. But the declaration was timed so that we could make most of the evening conditions. A correct move in my book. Had Smudge hung on to those relatively simple chances, we wouldn't even be talking about this today. And if we had a decent in form spinner, it would have been over Day 4.

As it turned out, it was an enthralling match. Loved it. The Pakis were awesome in the 2nd dig.

Not with their confidence at a very low ebb at that point in time.We bought them breathing space.

Different Test, different pitch at The G.

How's the Weather going to behave after today's weather?

Pakistan 4 down for 140 odd.

Over to you,Ben.

The weather is as fickle as f***. Could be 35 one minute, then 15 the next. Ball could swing like a dunny door one minute, then turn into a potato.

I predict Asad Shafiq will make a double century today.
