You've been arguing its an indicator and that it doesn't show how they actually voted. You were agreeing with me all along! Jesus. Well done Sis. =D>

Though it would've been easier if you answered the actual question.
So by the same "logic" are you an idiot for stating "Everything" would be blamed on Trump? Keeping in mind that I have provided the original tweet that went viral and it makes no claim "the demographic shows that's exactly how the younger generation people voted", and you are unwilling to provide even one that states that... So, based on the evidence at hand, people are "idiots" because of the assumptions you have made?
You can call me an idiot if it makes you feel better Sis. :D

Perhaps we could have "Take a dump with Donald Trump"

Yes, he thought Mitt Romney was going to win the popular vote but lose the electoral college vote to Obama, in the end he lost both.

I think that next 4, and possibly 8 years, will see this thread take on the proportions of the f-ck thread.

Everything Trump has done so far fills me with dread. Every touted cabinet appointee is extremely suspect.

Putin's Patsy is my nickname for this shocker of a president.

Ahhhh ... you youngun's don't remember life under Reagan...
  • so many corporate types in Cabinet who all benefited massively from their decisions,
  • the HUD grants scandal where GOP donors were awarded lucrative grants,
  • The sacking of over 20 of the top personnel of the EPA over three years with more than half targeted because of their party registration along with its legislative gutting so that it was ineffective (along with redirecting EPA superfund moneys to GOP re-election activities).
  • trickle down economics (Reaganomics) resulting in breadlines and soup kitchens in most large cities and large homeless camps, made worse by his intellectual love fest with Thatcher
  • Reagan's war on terror and his war on drugs (yep he started both of these),
  • the Iran-Contra affair where the Sec of Defense was pardoned before trial, but both the chief of the CIA and Reagan's National Security Advisor were found criminally guilty
  • training and funding Bin-Laden and Saddam Hussein to fight the Russians and Iran respectively
  • Chaos in South Americas with coups planned and puppet governments installed and supported from Washington (anyone remember the Sandinistas, Ollie North, Pinochet, assassin training in the School of the Americas, Haiti assassinations, Argentine dirty war, the disappeared etc etc),
All while denying Alzheimers but stuffing his face with jelly-beans while consulting psychics on how to run the country...

Yet Reagan is often considered the second best/popular President (after JFK) in recent times. Go figure. Americans can be strange.
Trump may yet be regarded in much the same way by the American public and commentatariat. Go figure.

Funnily enough I do remember most of that stuff about Reagan's presidency.

I guess I am more fearful now because of the nature of the instantaneous world we live in. Trumps tweeting might just start WW3.

Got to love the people who were stupid enough to vote for him over his "drain the swamp" rhetoric only to see him then fill his cabinet with fat cat after fat cat who have been like pigs at the trough their entire careers.

Only bloke who was actually going to try and drain the swamp was Bernie Sanders and his own party thought he was unelectable.

Some of that is right, and some of it is revisionism.

The War on Drugs was underway well before Reagan - LBJ was strongly anti-drugs, as was Nixon, as it was a politically popular way to victimize the hippies and counter-cultural revolution that started in the mid-to-late 1960s. Being hard on drugs enjoyed mostly bipartisan support from both Democrats and Republicans until Carter came along, and then obviously Reagan picked up where LBJ and Nixon had left things.

Sandinistas came to power in Nicaragua in 1979, before Reagan, and partly due to Carter pulling the plug on the previous Somoza regime. Zero sum game, anyway - the country just swapped a fascist crook for a socialist crook, and that socialist crook (Ortega) is still in power today. My girlfriend is Nicaraguan so i feel like i'm pretty well up-to-speed on this one. With all these tinpot countries, my general view is it's almost moot to discuss who did what and when - they never have the institutions to hold any sort of leader to account (left or right wing), so it's almost by default a choice between a corrupt fascist leader and a corrupt socialist - choose your poison.

Pinochet was installed with the help of the Nixon administration, not Reagan. Pinochet committed horrendous human rights atrocities, but helped pull Chile out of the socialist-created economic hellhole it was, so i give him some credit.

Live there for awhile you'll discover they are more than strange and their thinking about how the world works and their place in it, very bloody strange.

I've lived in the US for over 3 years. The most fascinating part about the US is the fact it's functioned as well it has, under a democratic system, for roughly 250 years, given (or perhaps, in spite of) the diversity within the country. Rural Texas, for example, is about as comparable to NYC or San Fran, as Berlin is to Myanmar.

It's really not that different to, say, the comparison between those who live in inner city Melbourne or Sydney, versus those who live in rural Queensland. It's largely the composition of our population that gives Australia the veneer of being much more unified and centrist - luckily for us, we have a larger percentage of the population that lives in the major cities (basically half our entire population is in Melbourne or Sydney, combined). The US would be a very different place if half its residents lived in San Fran and New York.

I see the protesters over there, are still harping and moaning about Trump's Election.

Too late, you Clowns! The bird has well and truly flown. And for the many Whinging now,who did not Vote, when you had months to prepare for this Election,I have very little sympathy for you, even as a Democrat at heart.

You have two years to ready yourself for the Mid Term Congressional Elections and another 2 years, when Trump runs again to get your Shit into gear and Vote. You might make a difference if you bother next time around.

 You're nothing if not predictable Sis. I knew the second I posted you'd be dying to reply. In fact I even mentioned it to Gimps.

If you want I can PM you the names of the people I went to Uni with and you can add them on facebook to read their walls?

I mean I'll be honest that's probably a little weird but if it makes you feel better?
