Massive Response Required and Expected

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Massive Response Required and Expected

Post by Windy_Hill »

We were bloody average against Fremantle last week. Not a top 8 team by a long shot and based on what I have seen from other teams this year, we are not close to that level yet this season.

So, given the talent we have, the money we have spent, the motivation to succeed, anything less than a massive turnaround this weekend to get this season up and running would be unacceptable.

Yes we are a little soft in the middle and probably down back but this is the squad Woosha has built so there can be no excuses.

I remain optimistic despite the drudgery of the Fremantle game but if we dont put on a show against the Bulldogs or make some kind of statement then I sadly concede that this is likely to be another version of every season since 2004.

SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE

I’d join you there Tony.

Was I hearing things about his contract being extended though?

Already done - another 2 years.
So even if you do start calling for his head, won’t happen this year unless maybe if we drop down into spoon territory...

Thank - you Crazyman.

I wasn’t hearing things on your Favourite Radio Station,Tony.

Mr Worsfold was also a fan of THAT Radio Station, when Brad Hardie gave him the Absolute Shits!

Which I of course,as an Absolute Eagles Hater, totally lapped up,until he Snapped and Insulted the WAFL.

I don’t think he ever apologised to his own Club, let alone the WAFL for that disgraceful brain snap!

Now now, it was only one loss by 16 points! Let’s not get too hasty about our club, that has served us so well over the last 15 years

Yep junk time goals have flattered to deceive for nearly 2 decades.

As football club, we are like Kylie Minogue....our best work was in the 80s and 90s hitting our peak in 2000. Sadly since then it’s been a lot of plastic surgery and the odd song that poignantly takes us back to headier days

Haha! It seems like every other club can get revved up after copping it in the media...but us? Anyone remember the last time we "responded"?

Or maybe it just seems like clubs respond, but it just so happens they're scheduled against our incompetent outfit.

Ps sack Worsfold

It sure seems that way.

Is there any deficiency Port Adelaide need to attend to? I’m sure we’ll be able to help them out this week...

It would be great if the entire club could focus on becoming a good football team again instead of bothering about rubbish like eSports and an NBL team.

Whilst I tend to agree, these have nothing to with the football side of things and does not change anything regarding footy.

It is association by name with hopes to generate revenue without pokies...

Pretty much this. Having half a dozen nerds use our facilities does not detract from the football operations at all.

Similarly having a separate basketball club operate under our name and generating revenue doesn't stop Woosha or any of the football operations group from doing their jobs.
Essendon Football Club- We arent arrogant, just deluded.
